The USDA’s research section studies everything from climate change to nutrition. Under the 2008 Farm Bill, its leader is supposed to serve as the agency’s “chief scientist” and be chosen “from among distinguished scientists with specialized or significant experience in agricultural research, education, and economics.” But Sam Clovis — who, according to sources with knowledge of the appointment and members of the agriculture trade press, is President Trump’s pick to oversee the section — appears to have no such credentials. Clovis has never taken a graduate course in science and is openly skeptical of climate change. While he has a doctorate in public administration and was a tenured professor of business and public policy at Morningside College for 10 years, he has published almost no academic work. Clovis is better known for hosting a conservative talk radio show in his native Iowa and, after mounting an unsuccessful run for Senate in 2014, becoming a fiery pro-Trump advocate on television. Clovis advised Trump on agricultural issues during his presidential campaign and is currently the senior White House advisor within the USDA, a position described by The Washington Post as “Trump’s eyes and ears” at the agency. Clovis was also responsible for recruiting Carter Page, whose ties to Russia have become the subject of intense speculation and scrutiny, as a Trump foreign policy advisor. Neither Clovis, nor the USDA, nor the White House responded to questions about Clovis’ nomination to be the USDA’s undersecretary for research, education and economics.

i didn't like the first part of the song where she tried to sing real low because that really wasn't working out for her. zero emotion in her voice, just effort. the second half of the voice where she sings more naturally was way better and she should've just sung like that the entire time imo

here's my opinions!! armenia: can't even remember her, poo poo australia: good imo. very decent singer, esp in comparison to a lot of the other contestants. austria: not bad. figured they'd do better. azerbaijan: i liked the song but i feel like she wouldve done better if the whole horsehead thing made more sense belarus: they came across as brother and sister and then they kissed. ew. bad song too. v generic belgium: yay bulgaria: looked like a ten year old, but the song was p good croatia: charming, i guess, and the split singing was a nice gimmick but his attempts at singing low were pretty flat. should've just sang with his regular singing voice cyprus: why did people vote for this denmark: pretty girl, generic song, very denmark france: so very france. they just never do well and deservedly so germany: should've been last again, but spain made a strong case too greece: again, why did people vote for this? hungary: boring bad """"rap"""" israel: didn't they send these wankers last year? italy: whyyyyy. why did people vote for the dancing gorilla and the walking stereotype? moldova: knew this was gonna be popular. good hook, but too transparently taking the easy route netherlands: was my jam. yeah. norway: eh. pretty okay. poland: can't remember portugal: can go gently caress itself romania: ugh. spain: bad. sweden: man gently caress sweden. loving justin timberlake wannabe ukraine: should've just done another 'we hate russia' song uk: surprisingly not poo poo
