A group called Team Apoka is releasing new content at:
http://apoka.mozello.com/

You can download their OCTGN plugins from their site or a Tabletop Sim mod that has all the office stuff plus theirs at http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=921262871

Conquest very well might end up like the old Decipher Star Wars CCG that has been taken over by the fans and released content for just about 16 years now.

Well the first expansion has a Sister of Battle on it so :yay: but idk if it's enough to keep the community going, I was just starting to get into it when it died

The big barrier right now is the last cycle packs going for $40+ each already. Slash & Burn, Jungles of Nectavus, and Unforgiven (?) especially are at an insane premium.

I still need Warp Unleashed to complete my collection (that I'll likely never play :negative:)

Actually, should I browbeat someone into it, what are good starting decks to show off the game? I pretty much just played Worr

I somehow scored the last pack I was missing for completeness for <$20. Now it will just sit in binders, unused and unloved forever.

I find the early cycles a little boring, mission-wise. They are much more samey than the later ones. Both the Hobbit and LOTR sagas are top-notch and can be beaten with just the core.

I started with 1 core and the Hobbit saga sets and it was great. The first cycle missions are hit or miss, but includes a ton of critical player cards like Fast Hitch.

I have 2 cores(repurposed the extra scenario cards), first 3 cycles compete. 2 hobbit deluxes, Voice of Isengard deluxe, a couple of the PoD sets and some of the nightmare decks from event kits along with some playmats(Khazad-dum, Hands upon the Bow, Heirs of Numenor).

I live in Taiwan but unless you want it immediately FedEx International takes two to three weeks and is fairly reasonable prices.

Is Arhkam always out of stock because its high demand and FFG doesn't print enough?

Is Star Wars worth investing in? Or is it old enough we expect a rebooted edition?

Same for Lord of the Rings?

Yes, but my local store has a lot of Arkham stuff in stock. Check your physical stores.

For Star Wars LCG, I wouldn't start. Check your local community, because you probably won't have many people to play with. There won't be a rebooted edition, because Destiny is out and is a roaring success.

Lord of the Rings is fun and cool, and new content is still being created

I started playing the Lord of the RIngs campaign again over the last few days and the difficulty spike in the Mines of Moria is kicking my head in. The first four quests I beat first time at a canter (solo-easy) but I've aborted 4 or 5 attempts at this already.

The timer, burdens and constant gridlock effects are too much for my poor elves to stay ahead of.

First game of Arkham Horror card game. We're discussing strange disappearances in my study when the house is pulled beyond the veil. We search for clues. A Cult Priest appears, instantly killing the friendly Beat Cop who was helping us. My character sees the dead body of the Beat Cop and goes insane. The second member of our group is Paralyzed in Fear. A Mob Boss appears and the last remaining investigator on our team begins to negotiate with the Mob instead of fighting the Cult Priest. Once the Mob is satisfied and leaves (the Cult Priest is still beating on people) the two remaining investigators run out of the front door, ending the mission. Cult Priest remains alive, but at least my house is still standing. I guess it's his house now.

Just fyi, the cult priest doesnt instantly do anything on account of him appearing after the enemy phase, unless you were just saying that for dramatic effect in which case carry on.

I did the same the first time I played it. That particular Act doesn't flip until the end of the turn, which is after the Enemy Phase. You will have an Investigator Phase to try and stop it before it does damage.

Hotaru looks really nasty, I can see a few combos right now, especially with Duelist Training. Duels also look like you can pull some real poo poo on your opponent.
