Sorry friend, sometimes it is you who is the pubby. Don't hang out in the Pincer Attack Death Tower, it's bad for your health. There are plenty of real examples of bad play to highlight, like:

If you are downed and both destroyers are between you and the rest of the team, maybe use a revive pack instead of letting yourself get stomped before we get to you (on the extraction wave, costing you and us money)

If you join a shotgun skirmish, use something that's not a Revenant for the entire game. Like a shotgun, you could use one of those.

Don't just stare at the device objective that is in front of you in your line of sight long enough for me to get all the way across the map from the last one (that I also deactivated, along with the one before that) to deactivate it right in front of your dumb face.

...These are the three different pubbies from the one game I've played today :v:

edit: I'm not endorsing the lovely firebase zero sniper camp meta, I think we've all had our fill of that poo poo by now - Still, if the entire rest of the team is set up for it and very clear that that's what's happening, if you gently caress it up on purpose, you're the rear end in a top hat in that scenario.

Isn't the bonus for Extraction only like 5000 credits? I never really care if I extract, as long as Wave 6 is fully cleared you still get 50k and change.

Honestly, it was more the whole 'just waiting to die' aspect; this guy only died once prior to this, and was revived by one of the other pubbies, so even if he didn't have any extra revive pack unlocks he still had both of the ones you get as a baseline. So the lost money was just kind of an extra 'gently caress you' on top of him just forcing us to be a man down because he couldn't press the '5' key. Also illustrating that he was actively hurting himself in a tangible way. I guess he could have run out of revive packs entirely and didn't want to be buying consumable packs and break his ultra-rare pity streak? That's the only valid thing I can think of.

There are no loving excuses for my other two examples though. Those are rock solid pubbie dipshittery.

It's a her.

I tried a melee build and was a bit underwhelmed, a weapon build seems to work a lot better. Use avenger strike to stun and shove a Ruzad under their chin while they're twitching.

If you're getting overwhelmed just pop stealth grid, toss grenades around like confetti and then run away (straight to an ammo box).

I legitimately cannot criticize what anyone does or doesn't do in this game because the multi-player infrastructure and net code is so poor.

If someone is rooted behind cover, even on devices, I can fully believe that they are rubber banding on the spot with dead enemies walking in straight lines off the edge of the map and where they have to only shoot at things moving straight towards them because hahaha no client prediction in 2017.

That may be terrible and everything but at least you can have casual fun with the game. Unlike Overwatch.

The Turian agent is a very interesting class to me. Basically because you can play him as a close range class or a sniper. I made him into an all seeing, wall-hacking, sniper with the ability to kill mooks with head shots through several walls! I haven't tried a close ranged build yet but I was wreaking silver as a level 1 and continue to do so as a level 15. What's the general consensus about the agent? Is he better at close range or long range? And keep in mind I'm going to be sticking with my long ranged build for a while no matter the evidence, because I miss my goddamned Drell Assassin from ME3!

The Katana's one of those special cases because now it's REALLY good. Nice damage, great accuracy compared to the Ruzad, Hesh, or Disciple thanks to its tighter spread, nice sized clip, good spare ammo reserve. It's just A Good Gun all around now. The three I mentioned are still better for close range super damage shotgun shenanigans though. But gently caress the Ruzad's reload animation, gently caress it hard.

Hell, reloads in general are lovely in this game. How did the same studio that did ME3 multiplayer gently caress up the reloads so badly? I know, 'same team' and 'all new people' are not mutually exclusive in game development, but fuuuuuck. The reloads in ME2 and ME3 had so much flavor, with most of the guns having the characters smack them to dislodge the superheated thermal clips, and guns with longer reloads would visibly vent steam. It made it look and feel like it was a cool scifi heat-based system. But all the MEA guns might as well be standard ammunition weapons in any other loving shooter. It's one of those goofy nerdy things that can finally bug me now that 'all the guns feel bad and do no damage' has taken a bit of a backseat.

Honestly one thing they could do to help the game feel more fun is make switching weapons about 200% faster. It would better incentivize actually using both guns you're carrying. It's no good having an "oh poo poo" button to switch to a close-range fuckoff gun (like the Ushior) when doing so is just going to get you killed. Right now it's almost always better to just loving leg it when you're in trouble.

I only switch guns between rounds or in the opposite situation (switching from a close-range gun to a rifle from a position of safety).

If they had passive reload for whatever is the current offhand gun, there would be more point to switch. Right now it's just because you ran out of ammo on the first.

Not only do reload animations suck, but weapon-charge animations suck: that explodey-ball shotgun is horrible when trying to charge a shot after firing one.
They need another weapon damage pass to increase the damage of high-spread weapons like the Indra, considering you have to dedicate specific classes to accuracy builds just to make them useable on Silver.

Also, removal of Melee over cover was a crappy idea as well as removal of heavy melee.

I think it might be "strictly better" now? Damage is certainly comparable (maybe even more) and you can get 4+ shots per clip depending on passives and the magazine mod.
