Woo, won the tournament for the TOTS Rudy on my 2nd try, no problems. I lost the first final i got to to some guy who was obviously taking things a LOT more seriously than I was, using extra silvers on the field and then subbing in record breaker ronaldo and TOTY messi and playing on full defensive for most of the game. He still barely, barely scraped a win thanks to a bad penalty call, but it is what it is.

International rep gives a boost, and obviously Aubamayeng is more well known than Werner, and also Informs are usually several overall lower than they should be based on raw stats alone.

So I actually packed a TOTY Sanson...which is the first sort of good UT card I've ever gotten between FIFA and several years of NHL UT. It also looked like one hell of a player, but being as that card by itself was worth more than the rest of my team put together I sold it and got a vanilla Hazard, vanilla Otamendi, and 83 Kante and IF Benteke (88) in exchange for him. So now, I look like this, in a 4-3-3 narrow: LF: Hazard/Martial ST: Benteke/Vardy RF: Mane/Zaha CM: Fabregas/Dembele/Fernandinho/Kante/Henderson/Matic LB: Azpilicueta/Clichy CB: Otamendi/Smalling/Bailly RB: Coleman/Valencia Begovic The midfield is a real ball vacuum and is working great and the defense/goalkeeping is much improved but I really haven't figured out how the LF/RF works all that well yet. As a result all of my games recently have been 1-0 or 0-0 depending on if I can hit a long shot or score from a corner..... I should have like 55k in the bank when I get home from a bunch of sales, any thoughts on what I should do with this?

The LF/RF thing is really all about playing one-twos between the three forwards until someone breaks past the defenders, basically. It's really good but can get shut down by good players and then it's gonna be a lot of passing around and waiting for an opening or firing a long shot, or maybe going in from one of the wings. e:  Man, I can't wait, Cavani's 90 card was unbelievable already and this is just obscene. I put a catalyst on him because I mean might as well have 99 passing stats in addition to the shooting ones, and mid 90s pace to go with it. I have to reiterate that this year has been IMO the best fifa they've ever put out by a long shot, in spite of the gameplay/technical issues. I had his previous sbc card so I saved a lot of money there, and other than that I spent ~140k coins on what is IMO without question the best player I've ever had in a fifa game, in addition to all the other incredible players I already have from various sources. hopterque fucked around with this message at 22:48 on May 15, 2017 |

Nice, I really like Cavani in game but the SBC just isn't worth the coins to me. I weighted up doing Kante and other sbcs like that and I'll wait for the TOTS that's 1 rating lower. Do we know who will win poty in other leagues because if you invest ahead that could be worth it.

Good call on Donnaruma and Dembele I think, I picked up two Donnaruma's just in case, I mean, absolute worst case scenario is I lose 20k coins I guess, which would suck but isn't really a big deal, best case scenario I get back double what I paid basically. I still have a Dembele OTW card that I rebought a few weeks back after things crashed figuring he might either sneak a last inform or wind up being useful at the end, so it'd be interesting to see if he gets a POTY card.

I really like a lot of the pro fifa community, the Hashtag United boys and Huge Gorilla and etc, they put out good, informative, interesting videos and aren't cocky or anything. Tass and Harry's 100-0 Coop series is really, really great, I feel super bad for anyone who runs into them in coop. Anyway the thing with the Mbappe SBC is you can get the newest Lacazette for about the same amount of money and he's slightly better on paper and almost certainly better in terms of intangibles, his 87 SBC is insane for me, so I can't imagine Mbappe quite living up to that level even if he's got similar stats.

I'm sure he'll do better next year. He does stuff regularly in his videos that I don't see ANYONE else do, and like in the coop series Tass is consistently like "holy poo poo what was that".

Got Rudy  I faced two separate super try hards where I lost on pens both times (I've been dismal at pens recently) then I walked it the 3rd time. I think I'm going to stick with my El Sharaawy 433(4) squad for the weekend. You'd be doing yourself a grave disservice if you don't pick up this guy for the weekend to use as an impact sub. http://www.futhead.com/17/players/60557/ghayas-zahid/ He's 83 rated with no chemstyle applied at CAM and he has 86 pace and 4* skills. He legit feels like a good gold CAM in game. He's only going 1k above his quick sell price. I've cooled myself on the Mbappe idea... I imagine he'll be awesome but the price is a put off. I'm going to wait til friday though for two reasons. Prices could crater and he'd be worth getting for ~100k imo if it gets that low, also Kante will be in the tots so we'll see how much difference there is between these sbc poty cards and tots cards. As for all the Lacazette recs, I don't get on much with h/h strikers. Aspas is an exception because with the set up I use him in it's fine for him to drop deeper and play to my wingers. I'd be using Mbappe or Lacazette in a two striker formation. Also am I the only one who did the El Sha SBC here? I'm super glad I did it. He is Ronaldo/Messi tier but more fun because he's basically a hybrid of the two. Messi like nimbleness yet enough strength to stay on the ball and 5* skills like Ronaldo. Ronaldo powers through more stuff but sharaawy is much more nimble. He also has the custom pyramid/rockafella records celebration which I enjoy.

Basically on corners most people take it short then either go down the by line trying to driven pass it in, or they try to get it out to a man on the edge of the box for a shot. Doing a direct lob into the box for a header works, maaaybe 1-2% of the time so people don't really do it Even if you manually direct it to a big good heading CB or striker or something it just doesn't work much

If you do want to try lobbed corners, I've had a little success with: * LT/L2 to call a teammate over to the corner. If no opponents follow, just short pass to that guy. If an opponent does follow... * LB/L1 to change to the guy you want to head with. * Aim for the empty spot that was vacated by step 1 and give it about 2 bars of power * Start running your header specialist into the area you aimed for and hit the lob button again * Head it in It does seem pretty low percentage though and you're probably better off just passing short most of the time.

Yeah like that's definitely the best way to do a direct lobbed header if you are gonna do one but honestly even if you wanna lob to a tall guy you might have a higher % chance having him do a headed pass into the box and then hope someone gets an actual foot on it to shoot

Full Power, aim like right in front of the goal basically right in the middle around the 6 yard line, let your guy at the near post slam it. It's pretty reliable for me, I got probably 6-10 goals off corners per weekend (so out of 40 games). Obviously it helps to have someone who's good at headers at the near post (like say, a Cavani/Benteke/Modeste type player), but yeah it works often enough and when it doesn't it has a tendency to result in followup corner kicks.

Play it short every single time, shield the ball until the guy who "took" the corner runs by into open space and pass it to him, then start looking for passes in the box. When they get wise about the third time or so break away from the shield towards the byline right when your teammate is going by for a pass (opponent will be following now) and run down the line and pass it to someone to shoot. Now they don't know what you're going to do and you can pretty much pull off either. Corny, frustrating, etc. but normal corners suck.

So i'm going to try and guess up some squads for Keita on the off chance EA do a Bundesliga young player SBC. I'm assuming his nation is out the window (no one in the game from guinea really). So I'm thinking turn in a special card of his, high rated bundesliga with RB Leipzig players, 83 rated squad, and for the last one I'm stumped. They could do Austrian league but that would be too cheap. For Donnaruma, I'm just holding the card for resale, all keepers are the same and I'm fine with perin. Anways found this card pic when looking at previous clubs.

Hey vivisectvnv whats your PSN? Would be nice to get some games in to practice.I'm 19-6 in h2h right now but my defending is awful, a lot of the time even if I'm standing right in front of a winger running down the line he just glides right past me. Any tips to help me out? Also some attacking tips would be nice, if the opponents team gets back in formation I'm often just passing the ball around impotently with no idea of how to create an end product.
