EVE is so boring these days. Need a symmetrical war to keep people entertained, CCP need to add some conflict drivers for 0.0.

There are no possible conflict drivers worth what a big symmetrical war would cost these days, unless you propose something absurdly valuable.

Thank CCP for going whole hog on supercaps online. Military power is heavily titled in favor of incumbents.

It wasn't even that stuff was stolen or claimed by spies. It was just that ships got handed out to people that were kinda inactive or already on the verge of quitting, especially when it was a capship.

If you have a giveaway program it kinda encourages the person who was naturally gonna quit within some ~3 month timeframe to stick it out for the milestone of a free whatever. Just a human nature thing.

mmm, what if you had a closed rules system.

You have a system that gives them out but the general group doesn't know how it works. I dunno, when I first started playing EVE, we used to pool resources or pool work to aquire assets for general use, a freighter, orca basic things like that for running around in highsec. I liked that we could do things to help members out collectively for the development of individuals who wanted to pursue something. I went from Thrashers to ruptures to hurricanes to maelstroms as fast as the hull skills could go, I've only really had an interest in the larger ships from the start of my time in EVE. I was able to do this mostly from my first maelstrom being given to me by another dude in the corp that was shipping up to a vargur at the time. Things like that make a huge impact on developing players. It's a practice I don't see much when I look at other corps. I could just be nostalgic but I dunno.

I would like to speak to the manager about the socialists, please
I was flying out to California to visit family and bumped into a business analyst for Electronic Arts. Apparently they plan to accquire EVE and CCP. Pretty much the outline goes as follows:

1. After the acquisition they will be shutting down the Iceland offices, any "talent" worth keeping will be sent to LA or London.
2. The London based servers will be moved to New York.
3. Two offices will pop up to replace the Iceland fortress of dread. One in London to phase out the London based servers and act a locus point for funneling talent in Europe. The other office will be in New York.
4. EA will shutdown Legion, the revival project for CCPs FPS, in favor of diverting resources for the next Medal of Honor game.
5. SOV will change, instead of being permanent ownership is now temporary. SOV will now be held for 1 season. A season looks like it will be 3 months. After which everything resets and you have to rush out and take stuff all over again.
6. To eliminate TiDi all together EA will auto-sim each week during the season. Based upon a number of metrics SOV is automatically assigned to the projected winner.
7. To even out Null Sec alliances, each alliance is assigned a "salary/skillpoint cap." They get a farm system in which players can be called up in the event of someone going inactive or having to be out the season for carpal tunnel syndrome. (We had a good chuckle about carpal tunnel.)
8. Instead of the SiFi elevator music, EA has the licensing rights to such songs as "Holla Back" and "B.O.B" by Outkast. These songs change each season but can be permanently purchased in the EA store.
9. Ship bumping earns a penalty. First offense is a 15 minute major where you have to sit docked up. Continued offenses penalize your group by limiting how many people can get into fleet.
10. After a Super or Titan loss a vote of no confidence automatically occurs and everyone in the alliance has to vote up or down to keep their current CEO and Directors. There will be a cut scene involving a boardroom and an executive being forced into an airlock or that could have just been a joke.

So 2018 EVE Online by EA.

A nano MWD legion seems to defeat the purpose of the legion. I'd rather run a tengu with an ASB for something like that. I'd get rid of the nano for sure, maybe the MWD, if you are going to be running that kind of setup get a scram and a web and just control the poo poo out of them. I'd probably install an AB, drop the nano for more tank and run a scram/web so I could get inside and orbit something with my relatively low sig while my pulses gently caress it up.

Also I generally prefer an active cap injector a battery, but that can go either way depending on what you like.
