Alien Covenant was okay, but not as good as Prometheus. There are a bunch of individual scenes that are clever in that "sick joke" way Hundu mentions but nothing anywhere near the scope of Shaw's self-performed abortion or Weyland getting beaten over the head with his own creation. It's very much shifted from the near-comical dysfunction of the crew of the Prometheus to just a bunch of well-meaning people ending up in a bad place and dying horribly for it, which isn't necessarily good or bad but definitely isn't as funny.
