Everyone has the same or similar experience in Mutant League Hockey, your older brother checks the gently caress out of your orcs so their heads pop off and get impaled on their own sticks 5 mins into every game and you lose. This either happened to you or you did this to someone else. Goals were scored desperately by the loser or as a way to rub salt into the wounds of the winner.

Really, if the NHL had any balls they'd suspend Getzlaf for tonight. Doesn't matter how severe what he said was, doesn't matter what his status on his team is, make an example of this. Show that saying a homophobic slur will not be tolerated, no matter who you are and when it happens. Unfortunately this is the NHL and they love their double standards. I'm sure we'll see somebody else caught saying a homophobic slur in the future.

There are a bunch of British uses of "sucks" that have nothing to do with sex (suck an egg, sucks to you, etc.), but here in the Land of the Free all we ever talk about is dick. That blows is in the clear though because it derives from blows chunks.
