Well this is way darker and way less campy so far than the original, which is pretty much exactly what I wanted. Such a shame about Bowie though, seems like Jeffries was supposed to be a kind of major character.

I assumed that he was because of some stuff that happens in episode 2, but I just watched the relevant scene over again and it's possible that it wasn't actually Jeffries talking, so maybe they did get some shooting in before Bowie died?
