Is anything going on digitally for Free Comic Book Day? Yeah, I know it's specifically an in-store thing, but that hasn't stopped some publishers or indies in the past, so I'm just curious. Also the weather was too lovely to go out and deal with the crowds this year :(

I will recommend pretty much everything on here except for Riverdale* and Betty & Veronica. (I dropped Josie after a couple issues, but other people seem to enjoy it.)

*I like the show, but the comic just didn't work for me.

I also like the Riverdale tv show and didn't care for the comic. It rehashes the same story without telling you anything new (so far). The Archie, Jughead, Afterlife, and Sabrina series are all knockouts, though.

To remind people that they used to like Nick Spencer at Marvel?

Edit: All of Nick's Marvel work is there. Nothing to do with the story other than the two Caps and Standoff.

Thinking about grabbing Secret Wars, is Last Days of the Marvel Universe also worth picking up to go with it? And separately, what about Infinity?

Infinity is good but it's right in the middle of Hickman's Avengers run so I don't know how well it stands alone.

The Last Days trade compiles a bunch of Last Days tie-ins from different series. They vary in quality (Ms. Marvel and Captain America and the Mighty Avengers were really good). It's a good price but honestly you could just grab the trades of the respective series you care about.

Secret Wars and Infinity are part of Hickman's Avengers and New Avengers runs, they won't make much sense or gravitas if you haven't read those from the start. But they are good and worth getting if you plan to read those runs anyway.

Witch Craft works is kind of fun it's a play on the "Princess saved by powerful hero" scenario with the "princess" being a dude and the hero actually being a heroine, Flowers of Evil is good too, but really twisted.

If you got the Image discount code in your email, this seems to stack with their current (unmentioned) Image sale. So I just got vol 2-6 of Saga for about $2 each as well as a heap of other collections that ranged from $2 to $3 each.

Yeah, this deal is amazing, through May 25, looks like. Anyone have recommendations for completed (or standalone/closed) Image series to pick up--maybe especially recently completed ones?
(I'll rec Chew, Glory, Sheltered, The Maxx, and I know other people would rec Criminal/Fatale/The Fade Out)

^^And Manhattan Projects is brilliant and worth reading even though it doesn't end.

Image ongoings I was reading and am deciding whether to pick back up here:
Lazarus, Manifest Destiny, The Wicked + the Divine, Shutter, Bitch Planet

Image ongoings I'm reading and up to date on:
Saga, The Walking Dead, Sex Criminals, Rat Queens even though it's not really good anymore.
