I played disgaea 1 and 2 and I'm pretty tempted to pick this up. Portable tactics sounds amazing. Is everyone enjoying it so far save for just being a bit overwhelmed?

If you liked previous Disgaea games you will like this one, it's more of the same with even more systems to level up that interact and more post game content that is harder and just added to the end of previous games post game content. That's kind of how they all work. They add a new mechanic to get stronger faster and add new content to the end of the existing post game. Usually they actually switch up a few mechanics and throw out the ones that were bad constantly refining it. There's very little to play anything that isn't 1 2 D2 (D2 is a direct squeal to 1) and 5. 1 and D2 are actually well written and 2 has the criminal system which never returned and was really interesting way to power level.
