i see no point to having so many exotics if they're largely useless like the destiny weapons. there are some gorgeous weapons and armor out there that have never had any use case whatsoever, and its a shame because stuff like astrocyte verse is only worn as a joke. the 3 of Coins grind was basically just cursing every single drop if it wasn't gloves because obsidian aspects were all you wanted.

That article on exotics is an interesting read. I would hate to see Three of Coins go away because it's a really good way of leveling characters, but I would like to see them perhaps shrink the pool of gear that can decrypt from exotic engrams. Grinding 3oC definitely took out some of the enjoyment that you get when something unique drops. I'd also like to see more Sleeper Sim-like quests, and I think Black Spindle in particular was my favorite, just because the idea of secret exits in levels reminds me of Super Mario World and is extremely my poo poo, plus the final encounter of that quest was pretty dang difficult the first time it was available (although having to restart the whole mission was a bit crap).

My wishlist for Destiny 3. You make your character has a hero before the fall. You live in Venus or Mars, in a beautiful city with happy people around creating new technologies. Each day you takes a car and drives to the Future War Cult offices, where you are connected to a machine where you travel to the future. Theres "insertion points". Places in time and space that are easy to reach by the FWC machine. Most of the insertion points are historical events, battles. Your mission is to discover what is the darkness. The game play pretty much like a assassin creed game. You slowly uncover what is the darkness, questions are answered and others created, you unlock more and more insertion points, but some of them are corrupted, some of them area paracausical. You suspect theres a conspiracy in your time to cause the fall of humanity. For Destiny 3 DLC's, I hope we get 6vs6 pvp, and maps where gravity change in different rooms / floors. If we fight in a moon, that gravity where 1/5 of the normal. I wish we get more anime weapons. Like some sort of blade that leave fractures in reality that damage people that walk trough them. Or a pistol that launch a drone that follow you and suicide itself when he see a enemy (with a top of 6 drones orbiting around you). Do bungie know that Speed=Fun?. Mounted-combat. Firing your guns from the sparrow. Maybe a pvp map with dunes where your characters slide down the hills like forever.

I like the quest based exotics, hell, I remember that last G-Horn mission where I was having issues till I had it in my hands. It felt like yeah, it was tough, but once you have it, we'll give you a tank and infinite heavy ammo, go have fun kids. I do like the exotic engrams as they help with infusion and stuff. It's also why I do the gunsmith bounties. Free infusion fodder.

They didn't have weapon cosmetics for the base game or TTK, but now that they do it would be a good way to allow for both easily attainable gameplay variation and also rewarding people who got lucky or did something difficult. They're already doing this with the AoT raid armor, now they just need to tie the weapon ornaments to challenges too.

Unless something has changed in the last few months, you no longer carry engrams in the appropriate weapon or armor slot, but instead have a max of 10 engrams. So either engrams are going to be much more rare in D2, or they no longer expect you to grind out strikes in the hopes for better drops. I personally don't think that bodes well for an expanded inventory/vault/wallet space, but the whole system is probably going to be rebalanced or replaced from the ground up.
