I was gonna say the best thing the extended universe did was Boba blasting out of the pit, but upon looking it up

"Jonathan W. Rinzler stated in a Reddit AMA that Lucas has said that Boba also survived the sarlacc in the new canon, though has yet to appear in official new canon media."

A Polygon editor has a video series where he attempts to get Nintendo to retweet a photoshop of Toad and Nintendo has been taunting him about it to the point of stealing one of his tweets but putting a normal Toad.

I think Please Retweet is dumb and the joke stopped being funny after three or four episodes, but the way NoA played him with that tweet was savage.

Saints Row 4 was, for all it's faults, an incredibly fun game and good sendoff for the series.

That's Voltes V(being assembled by Misaka Mikoto using her electricity powers in the way it was in the original 70's anime) and Brave Raideen. A whole lot of various Super Robot shows were mashed together into one toy line in the 80's and brought to the US under the title Shogun Warriors. Kinda like how Robotech was a mixture of various animes(Macross, Southern Cross, and MOSPEADA), but for toys.

Fairly obscure series like theirs have gotten a huge resurgence thanks to Super Robot Wars and the Soul of Chogokin toy lines, which create super detailed and sturdy renditions of older robots.

edit: I like that Voltes V's theme is a jaunty tune.

Kid me loved watching that mashed together into a movie version of Voltes V at grandmas house, while playing with a combining Voltron. Grandma is cool.

Though she is also responsible for Godzilla Vs Megalon being one of my favorite Godzilla movies (No you guys, Jet Jaguar is totally cool :saddowns:)

iirc, the original batch of Transformers toys was a combination of a couple of unrelated transforming robot toylines, as well.
