The david leavitt train hasn't stopped. The dude gets pure vitriol tweeted his way every few minutes even days after the incident. His address, phone number, and pretty much all his personal information has been posted. His dreams of being a famous media person have come true in the worst way. Dude is hosed. If you are going to troll on social media about tragedies, better do it anonymously. On more pleasant news, who else is stoked for some modern this weekend. Vegas is less than a month away as well and I am loving stoked.

Finally getting to experience amonkhet limited for the first time. Drafted a solid rg deck with samut and rhonas, got crushed by on curve glorybringer both games r1 while I stumbled on mana. I now understand all of the complaints, because I don't feel like I played a match of magic, but I have to stand around for 45 mins now and I have a loss on my record.

Not going to the GP but I've finally got more free time to play again and I know modern PPTQ season is starting soon so I bought the few pieces I needed for Jund Death's Shadow. I'm doing the build that splashes blue for Stubborn Denial and Snapcaster. Seems pretty spicy. e: One thing I'm wondering is what the point of running only one Tarfire is? If you want a Tribal in your graveyard for your Goyfs and Delirium wouldn't you want more than just one? I know it's not a good card but it seems like if it's so bad that you only want one so you can sometimes get the extra type, you might as well not run it. How many other UKGoons are going? A goonmeet would be pretty sweet. Still pretty torn on deck ideas between Mardu Mentor, Ponza and RW Prison. The first I have on paper, the second I have online and the expensive bits. Prison also seems cool but less fun than T2 Mwonvuli Acid-Moss.

A (very) public person making a horrible joke about a horrible tragedy in the immediate aftermath of said tragedy deserves pretty much everything they get. It's not like he wouldn't have known exactly what was going to happen to him if he took 30 seconds to stop and think about the consequences before hitting the post button. If you post something on the internet with your name attached to it, every single person you know has the potential of seeing that post. If you don't like that, don't post it. It's a pretty simple concept.  That's why anonymity exists, and why attaching your real life identity to a stream-of-consciousness-word-vomit on the internet is really dumb.

Social justice is good but, much like criminal justice, should be chiefly focused on rehabilitation and helping onetime offenders make good as members of society

It probably would have helped if his response to the criticism on the tweet was to delete it as soon as possible and either shut up entirely for a while or post an apology rather than leave it up for hours while posting follow-up jokes revelling in the attention and doubling down. That being said it's pretty lovely albeit sadly completely unsurprising that people posted his RL contact details and such.
