No, but you can use the buildings for industrial zone decoration. The geothermal one looks nice especially.

No, this one is actually all one piece, and it's amazing. Glass shader LOD fix mod is needed for it though, or the glass disappears when zoomed too far out. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=741741790

Yeah, that's the one. I like how it doesn't come with any fixed roads, got to put more parking space under it.

The paid features are the new transit vehicles, passenger ferries, cable cars, monorails, and blimps. The free features actually seem better. I bought it because I wanted to 'vote" for more DLC's that actually add real content like this one, but I've yet to even play with any of the new transit types. I hate how the monorails corner wayyy too tightly, the blimps are silly/ Cable cars and ferries are legit though. I still think MOM mod did elevated transit way better than CO's monorails, and I so wish they had instead given the game the native ability to have elevated things above other things without having to resort to anarchy mods and poo poo, rather than making yet another bunch of new roads that can't possibly cover every combo. Where's my monorail with road with bike lanes? Where my monorail road with trams? Where's my monorail 6 lane and so on and so on.

Aren't the new roads all MT exclusive as well?

Also, CO is looking at creating some kind of road editor, as well as region mechanics.

Not really, no. The game's producer has said that she is interested in introducing regional gameplay and that they are looking into it, and their office manager has mentioned a few times that they're in the early stages of implementing a road editor.

Road editor and region stuff would be extremely exciting. Like I'd so love a little region map and instead of random trains and cargo ships going to "San Alto" or what ever random town name, it would actually be coming and going from one of my other cities based on that city's stats/resources. Have a lovely farming town that feeds the region with food and so on. Started a tiny town between two huge towns? You'll have a lot of highway/train traffic between them, but start a city with only 1 neighbour and the tiny 2-lane interstate would probably be fine.

For most other publishers, yeah, but Paradox games have really long content lifespans. The latest CK2 expansion DLC was released this March, and CK2 itself was released in 2012.

After Dark adds taxis, bikes and commercial specializations. It's kind of not good on its own (none of the included features have any purpose), but it's really good with the Rush Hour mod, and Traffic Manager: President Edition with certain settings.

Snowfall adds trams and snow maps, along with snow mechanics and some vanilla map mechanics like road maintenance. It's not super interesting unless you like trams. The snow mechanics can be used on regular maps with the Climate Control mod if it's ever fixed.

Natural Disasters adds disasters, helicopters and some water management mechanics. It's actually pretty well done and, if that's your kind of thing.

Mass Transit adds new roads, cable cars, monorails, blimps and ferries. If you want any of those things it's good.

I've got all the dlc except for disasters cause that poo poo doesn't interest me and I've had to keep the mods and asset list pretty compact because I'm running it on my MacBook currently. I've stopped treating it so much as a city building game and more as a zen garden that I build interchanges based on what I see around Sydney.

There are several things that are making an optical illusion of a slope, but I think the main culprit is that road in the back on the left. It's actually straight and then curves slightly to the left but it looks like it's completely straight but starts going down an incline. The texture repetition on the grass behind it gives it away though.

The building in the back with the loading docks actually appears to be on a slope, though, based on how it's sunken into the ground.

I think that might be the roof that's sloped because the 1 storey middle section roof does not line up with the taller side section.

Is there a good newish video that shows how to deal with traffic once you get to multiple hundreds of thousands? Like I got one city to 400k population but it looked like rear end with raised highways and about 20 interchanges. I'd like to try making an attractive city now but I have no idea how to prevent traffic jams without highways and would prefer not to heavily mod.

I don't really go for tonnes of buildings unless I get annoyed by having to lay down a zillion schools for a small town, but Avanya's sewage plant set is a must have. A little bit gamey I guess in that you can do away completely with dumping poo poo into the river, but still, a good set.

Anyway I'm done with CO's stock maps and was looking for a bunch of new ones to play with. Most of the maps on the Workshop didn't really grab me but I'm into Zakerias' set now.
http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=426345821

Being Dutch inspired, they're flat - really flat - but with enough thought put into the water features with levees (with some potential for hydro craziness) and rivers and that they're interesting to build on.

Just thought I'd put that out there for anyone with a similar itch to mine.
