So what's the scientific consensus on the percentage of people who are overweight because of things beyond their control like genetics versus eating poorly and not getting enough exercise? Obviously there is a complex interplay between genetics and environment but I've been struggling lately with how to feel about heavy people.

I never denigrate people based on something they cant control but if theyre an rear end in a top hat I find myself using that stuff as a negative anyway, so I dunno Genetic factors/body types are real but so are people who just overeat and its sometimes hard to tell them apart

Sadly the amount for for actual, real medical disorders being this cause is extremely low. And from what I heard, even then it only accounts for water weight. And if its an actual metabolic cause, even the most extreme examples of legitimate cases, it was always something like a 100-200 calorie difference on their daily need. I don't really care about her weight. There are plenty of great people who are fat. There are worse thing to be other than fat. Lena Dumb Ham is the most efficient encapsulation of smug/elitist bullshit. She tries for a feminism angle, but only when it suits her needs. She talks about politics, but only superficially. I doubt she could name five politicians off the top of her head. Seriously, take her and Amy Schumer and have them dropped off on an island so we don't have to deal with their lovely influence on pop culture.
