I will never understand why that arc gets poo poo on when the loving "let's help an awkward kid make a movie" arc is so much worse and happens right after Wakana's apparent heel turn. My obsession with owning physical media has reached a new height. Problem is now, I can't stand this silver-disc/sticky note set-up, so now I have to find either a good cover art for the case sleeve or make and print something for the DVD itself. Or both.

I didn't find the Heaven's Tornado arc to be bad - Philip's monomania was very understandable and they presented it well - but oh man was it goofy. Street dancing against the villain was hilariously dumb, and I love that it worked? And that Sho was just as ???? ???? as I was, haha. Also teens being bad at communication is incredibly realistic. Not a bad arc, just a really goofy one.

Heaven's Tornado is one of the best parts of early Kamen Rider W. It's amazingly goofy. Certainly much more hilarious and entertaining than dude in a casino that controls money or some other early bland stuff. Or yeah, the tedious awkward filmmaker dude arc that just didn't end.

Yeah, the Money Dopant and a few other early episodes have issue, especially some of the monster costumes. I'm a bit less of a fan of W than most people, also due to having problems with the overall villains of the series (most of the Sonozaki's aren't especially deep, the Gaia Impact is hopelessly underexplained, the show I swear forgets Wakana is brainwashed and what is even the idea behind Utopia guy taking over. The main cast is fantastic, so the character stuff is amazing by and large and makes a lot of stuff go down better for me.

Also, that second one, that is totally Nanaha isn't it? The second Chihiro looking super Amazon. Christ almighty. That or...I'm not sure who else it could be. Some how, Haruka's mom knows what's up with Chihiro, so it could be something related to her, but the fact that it looks so much like Chihiro, who is only the way he is because he's the son of Jin...I'm not sure. Also yeah, I kind of wonder if the new belt supresses your true power or something, because holy poo poo poor Chihiro.

Also yeah, I kind of wonder if the new belt supresses your true power or something, because holy poo poo poor Chihiro. IMHO, Jin has a point from a utilitarian perspective often... and then goes about a bad way of doing it just as often or doing it self-destructively. Also, causing Chihiro's conception. He's just not stable, and he seems to have possibly taken a SAN hit this episode. Alternately, the belts boost your power... for most Amazons, but Chihiro's so absurdly OP it hits a cap for it (and his usual poor performance is due to having no actual desire to fight by and large and psychological issues). And I think we're finally getting back to the insane mad scientists that is Haruka's mom and the president of the pharmacy... And of all the terrible things going on in the episode, Kurosaki survived. -_-

As I see it, the limiter isn't the belt but Chihiro's own mentality. It's possible that he could use even greater powers by becoming Amazon Neo and using his original Amazon powers, but he's extremely scared of the latter and with good reason. It's clear that he's never triggered them on purpouse, he lost himself to hunger when he killed Nanaha (and he was a child at that) and here he really, really didn't want to lose Iyu. In both cases, the transformation was purely instinctive in nature, and Chihiro had no control of himself afterwards, turning into a murderous, extremely dangerous berserker that slaughtered any and everyone around - except Iyu. Hurting Iyu made Chihiro regain control and go back to his human form, although unconscious. It's likely he can turn at will but he never will because his Amazon form is very much the personification of all of Chihiro's worries. He truly is an Amazon, a human-eating monster, after he transforms, with enough lack of morality to eat his own mother and murder everyone around without any sort of second-guessing. And he's by far the most dangerous Amazon we've ever seen, even Haruka going all-out (with spikes shooting everywhere) was nowhere near as destructive as Chihiro's minutes of transformation here. With all of that in mind...poor Chihiro. He really, really doesn't want to be what he was born as. The one person that loved him was killed by his own hands, and his only other family wants him dead. And considering the preview, Chihiro likely will come to understand Jin's point, but he can't just go and die. He's in a very, very lovely position. At least Haruka and Jin had people that genuinely cared for them. The person Chihiro thinks is that, can't feel at all and now sees him as prey. Poor Chihiro.

I really think Nanaha might be The Second Point of Origin, that just maimed Haruka's crew. That design has a lot of fringes it seems, like her general outfits, and seems to have a feminine shape. It's either that or Chihiro had a twin sibling no one knew about because they're the same type of Amazon. And I don't think Jin got around to loving some one else.

What they really need is someone trying to research a cure or better Amazon management medication, but nobody's doing that. The Pharmacy was more interested in mad science, covering up their mistake and weapons sales, and the government just wants to kill them and banned research. Haruka had the right idea by getting Iyu's dad to start studying things, but then Jin got him infected....

Except here's the thing with Jin He made the Amazons, but he never wanted them released like this. He actively fought against them being released, and the Dude Who Totally Isn't The Great Leader engineered an accident to have them get released. An important thing to remember with Jin is that he loves his Amazons. They're basically his children. They're also unable to stop themselves from wanting to eat people and basically become rabid, losing any and all self control at the drop of a hat. The only kind thing you can do with them IS mercy kill them, now that they're out in the wild, especially because poo poo like what's going on currently could happen. You can't fault the Amazons for not wanting to die, especially since the few remaining original group have lost their ability to eat humans despite still being driven by a hunger they cannot satisfy. But Jin wasn't wrong either. Jin is kind of a really extreme take on the Showa era Riders, which is really cool to see. He is a man who has discarded his humanity to become a monster so he may protect humanity. He has just taken it to an extreme that they never did, and against an enemy that aren't literally Nazis. Because even without Jin hounding them, Moleman and his group would still have done the contamination plan. Even if Jin wasn't hunting them, the rest of humanity WOULD be. The fact that Jin was able to hang onto his humanity at all while he was literally degrading from Thaloc poisoning is a testament to his character, and to Nanaha herself. But the thing to remember is that he was literally out of his mind, without any self control. Yet, the only people he attacked were Amazons, and he was, trying, to be nice towards normal people. Just, in a very broken way. Also he was 100% dead on about his child. What he didn't expect was the possibility of people being infected with Amazon DNA. Which is why I, again, suspect Nanaha is not dead, and may be the other Point Of Origin.
