I didn't notice that at first but now that you mention it, it's breaking my brain. Thanks a lot

Haha, just a trick of perspective and focal length, it definitely flows downhill, although it's fairly flat in that area.

Reminds me of a classic Japanese woodblock painting in the best way. Did you do some color filtering to have the different tree patches stand out, or were they just that contrasting overall?

I think they were just pretty contrasty. It was a beautiful place

I wished I stayed there long enough to get a sunset shot but we were on a tight schedule. Also it's really hard to get a good pic of it without all the tourists :)

I like the balloon shots (here and in PAD), especially the more reductive ones

Oh, I like this a lot! Post more balloon pics.

I've always wanted to go to a balloon festival of some sort. Are they fun? Is there much to do if you don't have a balloon yourself?

I don't really remember where I took it. In Vancouver? Near Gastown probably.

Yeah, that's the spot. I used to work downtown quite a bit and walked past all those buildings every day, and I remembered that quasi Tudor looking place.

The one in Albuquerque is neat but it's so popular I wouldn't bother coming unless you can drive here rather than fly, and either know someone you can stay with or find a campground, because flights and hotels are always totally hosed that week.
