I did the online test and it was harder than the regular show so I gave up and never tried again irregardless even if I passed the test and got to auditions I wouldn't make it on the show because I don't have a good TV personality

That was a mess. I did way better on yesterday's but did today's officially. Blanked on so many, like Samuel over Samson, Christine over Carrie, and The Goldfinch despite picturing the cover exactly.

I'm actually happy with my performance on that. Whether that's good enough, who the gently caress knows. But even if I don't get called, I'm proud of myself. Really shoulda got Ethiopia, though. Zig-zagged out of it and said Uganda.

Here's the text from j-archive:quote:To bypass the rules and get your way is to do this maneuver, also the type of play seen here I don't remember the diagram, but reportedly it showed a halfback carrying the ball. An end-run is a real thing, but I watch a ton of football and nobody EVER uses that term. I had to look it up. Apparently it is just a term meaning any run to the outside; not a specific play. Any player can make an end-run, while an End Around is specifically a handoff to the End or WR (who then makes an end-run). Even the wikipedia page was only created in 2010 and is still a stub. I've also never personally heard of an end-run as a synonym for circumventing the rules, but according to the dictionary the question is correct. Maybe end-around could have been counted if the image didn't specifically show a halfback with the ball. It's a dumb question that was misleading for anyone who watches football.

The graphic was intended to be a distraction from the beginning of the question (that would have been far too easy on it's own).

Welp, that's three Finals in a row I've been absolutely stumped on. Had no idea who Wallenberg even was, never heard of him before, and Medieval English kings are pretty inscrutable to me as well. The Chaplin one got me as well. Not a good week for me at all, save for the Monday clue. Still, it's a change of pace from cake Final Jeopardy clues that abounded last week.
