If the Preds have a chance in this series, scoring dirty goals through placing pressure on the D is gonna be key. That and Rinne stopping like , at least a lot of shots.

I for one am greatly enjoying watching the Hainsey/Maatta pairing play 20 minutes a game of hockey that should be accompanied by Yakkety Sax at all times while the whole hockey world watches and says "how the hell are they 2 wins from the Cup? How??"

Spring Break My Heart posted:their powerplay has been really good in the regular season and playoffs. Not really. Outside of the Ottawa series, the power play hasn't been very consistent at all. They were 1-3 in Game 1, 0-7 in Game 2, and are now 0-3 in this game.

The Penguins outshot the Jackets 1 time in 5 games. They outshot the Caps 0 times in 7 games. They did outshoot the hell out of the Senators, so, y'know, that's nice. It doesn't look likely they're going to outshoot the Preds no matter how many times they play them. And they're probably going to win the Stanley Cup. You know what tastes delicious? Hater tears.

The worst thing about these playoffs have been my brother getting mad at the Penguins success because he hates the Pens solely because of yinzers (same reason he dislikes the Steelers); that and he's mad that a lot of people hate the Pirates for being a bunch of losers with a cheap rear end owner.

Honestly though, Pittsburgh just isn't a baseball town. I actually think once PNC gets old, in about another 20 years, the Pirates may leave.
