Also, I wanted to ask, since I was finally able to get my NN3DS fixed (X and A buttons weren't working for poo poo; now all the buttons work even better than when I originally got it).

Are these 3 games worth getting?

Seeing that Etrian Odyssey V remains unreleased in the west, feel free to recommend any other good RPG (take into account that, aside from EO: V and Persona Q, I have every other Etrian Odyssey and DS/3DS MegaTen game already and I never got into Pokemon).

fe echoes is good and badass, but also kinda short and has some lame maps. i like it a lot but you have to be willing to deal with 'guy on the other end of a swamp summons an infinite number of gargoyles until you kill him.' i find that kind of fun tbh, but some people hate it.

They're easier to deal with even so, because they're totally predictable in type and spawning location, and relatively weak. The summoner also never initiates an attack even if you have someone in range.

yeah but they are infinite, which does make them possible to get bogged down in depending on circumstances, and the game does really overrely on them even as someone who likes them.

I think I've finally hit my stride in Echoes. The beginning of the game felt like a bit of a slog because it took a bit of time for me to settle into the way the game flows. I believe I'm at or close to the midway of the campaign and I've enjoyed the intensity of the constant battles on the map

I liked him which is why I'm mad he hung around in line of sight of the laser cannon for a minute shooting it after he concluded that did nothing and died, like an idiot. When all he had to do was deliver the bomb that would kill it to his capable combatant.
