 55" 4k HDR with Roku built in (from Costco). Really happy with it for the price. Coming from a 10 year old 32" 720p, so this is a nice step up but it looks HUGE in our living room.

Living in a bus sounds like fun but I can't imagine it'll be anything but horrendously expensive in the long run.. idk about old manual buses but the modern buses in my city have automatic gearboxes that cost a little more than a new family car, for instance. and even factoring out the heavy duty parts (and accompanying prices) you'd need to buy from time to time there isn't the appreciating value of land underneath to offset the depreciating everything else

My old Samsung laptop finally broke, so I got a new thing. Man the display is gorgeous. I haven't really found a use for tablet mode yet, but it's a neat feature. Welp just bought a drone, the Parrot 2 It gets 25 minutes of fly time, has a 14 megapixel camera, and wasn't prohibitively expensive. I'm pretty excited to take some cool aerial photos this summer

The thing gets 43 miles/lb according to the guide so we have a decent range. The tanks hold a ton. But hey if we ever decide to change it to diesel it's not too horrible of a thing to work on.

You start with a DAW, then you buy some cheap analogue synths, then without realizing it you end up with 10K$ worth of modular racks. Hopefully I'm only experiencing stage 2 symptoms currently. I can't really explain it but there's something viscerally fun about toying with physical analogue synths. I started recently with a few Korg Volcas and I enjoy it so much more twisting knobs and pressing buttons than creating a song in Ableton. It's basically a hobby.

A close third would be the Quasimidi Polymorph, but good luck finding one. Every year on my birthday I look to see if there's one for sale anywhere, but I can never find one. The MS2000R is also very good. You can also basically find everything I ever wanted when I was 20 on ebay for like $600. I have an 18v electric chainsaw that is fine for the average homeowner type poo poo (branch falls, need to turn it into smaller pieces of wood for pickup). But it is obviously a lot slower than a gas chainsaw. How does this compare to a proper gas saw? What is the runtime?
