I hope this game is a sequel with proper gyms and if you have save date for SuMo, your original championship team as the champion. They could explore Silvally more, Necrozma obviously, more background on the Ultra Beasts, more Anabel/Looker, more Alola forms (for non-Kanto monsters, please?), more Z-moves, and my biggest wish: bringing back Mega Evolutions and expanding them. Honestly though, I'm disappointed we're not getting D/P/Pt remakes since I really enjoyed that generation and it desperately needs a remake due to D/P's grueling slow speed and small 'dex. Oh yeah, WAY more clothes (especially for the male!) and something much better than the lovely Festival Plaza, Hyper Training not needing to be level 100, old move tutors, replacing the Battle Tree with the Pokémon World Tournament and/or the Battle Frontier, more integration of Zygarde, more Pokémon Ride options, better S.O.S. mechanics... "Alternate storyline" sounds pretty different from "new storyline" like they said for bw2 though. I'm expecting something closer to 3rd version changes, like Platinum and Emerald had. Why two versions then? Because  .

The game actually takes place in the Ultra dimension It's actually very similar to the normal dimension, that weird space forest was just a fluke.

Kind of disappointing we aren't getting a mainline game (yet) on the Switch, but not entirely unexpected. The New 2DS announcement was a big indicator that Nintendo still wanted to do stuff with it, and the Switch does still have a substantial low effort high reward honey pot in Wii U ports (poo poo, take a look at Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and how well it did. Amazing how well a game can do when people actually buy your system) that is not completely exhausted yet. Heck, I never got Pokken even while I had a Wii U so I may pick it up on Switch. I look forward to all the "Switch is a Wii U port factory" hot takes today. Hell, it looks like the Switch thread itself is melting down judging from the title.
