Veskit posted:I've been following it enough but i severely doubt that there's a written minimum that you are allowed to get points on a PPV fight during the negotiations of the fight itself. There's a difference between you get no points on the fight, and you'll start accruing points when you hit this amount of buys. If you think about it that's not even enforceable If you go back one page you'll see a copy-and-paste from a UFC contract that shows exactly what that scale is.

It seems like the simple answer would be to put DJ on a card with another big(ger) fight. Why should he have to carry the card himself to make money?

If you think about it that's not even enforceable look up Eddie Alvarez' contract offer that came out when he was suing Bellator. the PPV points setup has been basically the same forever. We first saw the structure back when Randy was having a contract spat with the UFC.

But Cormier was on there to increase the total draw power of the show. He wasn't on there because he draws nothing and they wanted to stash him there to make bank in the name of fairness. The fact that you're admitting it's the only way for DJ to make more money is pretty much proving the UFC's point for them.

There's a minimum amount of buys you have to hit for points to kick in and Mighty Mouse never hits it. He definitely won't against ray borg

Right, that's not what I saw saying. I'm saying there's nothing to be ashamed of being thrown on a card with a lot of attention, even if you aren't the main attraction. Yes, I am proving UFC's point that he does not draw on his own, but this is a way for him to make the money he is looking for while making everyone happy. Put him on a stacked card with Brock Lesnar as special guest announcer.

I just realized that Dana White is sending the black beast to murder Mark Hunt in front of his home town this weekend. This has got to be punishment, right? For the lawsuits, criticism, and intention to fight out his contract and leave.

Some of Canelo Alvarez and GGG's PPVs haven't done much better than Mighty Mouse's PPVs, but they still earned a couple million each time. I don't think that wanting the best P4P MMA fighter in the world to make more show money than CM Punk is all that much to ask for, but that's just me.

I'll have to re-read the statement MM put out, but isn't the gist of what he's complaining about that the UFC is treating him like poo poo by changing opponents on a whim after bout agreements have been sent, going to social media and television to announce his fights without so much as a heads up to him before hand and then painting him as a coward who doesn't want to fight TJ, even though he had originally wanted to fight Cody? On top of all that threatening to scrap the entire division if he doesn't take a fight he thinks makes no sense. If I recall correctly according to DJ he asked for PPV points, was denied, accepted that denial and signed to fight Ray Borg without PPV points. I don't think the lack of PPV points is the main reason he's putting Dana and the UFC on blast. It sounds more like they are just unnecessarily classless in how they treat him, despite him having been a company man for them for years, and DJ just reached a breaking point. threeagainstfour fucked around with this message at 18:27 on Jun 6, 2017 |

The Black Beast is a totally winnable fight for Mark Hunt, even if he isn't quite as durable as he used to be. Lewis punches real hard but is less technical than Hunt. His recent numbers look good, but no one he's beaten has been on a good run recently + they kinda suck.

anyone who live through STACKED knows the ufc pushed sean sherk and anderson like crazy even when no one liked them, to the point they tried to put together that event around marketing them more. They filmed sherk working out and said wow this guy works out a lot over and over for two years, even after he got busted roiding, until people actually believed hed beat BJ Penn.
