Lobok posted:Especially since he is the famed co-creator! It wouldn't be as appealing if the writer was just some random hiree. The superior Spiderman, aka Newspaper Spidey. Doc didn't transfer to a new mind, he just created an alternate reality where Parker could be defeated by thrown bricks and then transferred himself to that reality's Ockbrain. Unfortunately the general ineptitude of everyone in this new universe got to him too and now he pales in comparison to such villains as mole man who has the power to creepily peer at Peter's aunt in ways the old Ock never could.

How does taking over the entire world even work? That seems awfully difficult and not worth the amount of concentrated, extended effort needed to even do that. Like, managing the sheer number of forces to keep all 196 countries in line, including disaster areas like North Korea and poo poo, some of which have literal billions of people? I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Mole Man just needs to calm the gently caress down about the stupid thing some idiot said to him.

If cartoons taught me anything, it's that you conquer the world by taking over a single building/street in New York and then demanding that the world capitulate to your rule. What's the world gonna do? NOT hand over global authority and risk the loss of a New York building or street!?!

I'm liking that the thread title is relevant again as both a reference to the subterranean world and because Mole Man is so short. "Yo, Spider-Man! Down here!"Jerusalem posted:If cartoons taught me anything, it's that you conquer the world by taking over a single building/street in New York and then demanding that the world capitulate to your rule. What's the world gonna do? NOT hand over global authority and risk the loss of a New York building or street!?! In the real world you don't really have to occupy every single square inch of land of a country. As long as you capture and maintain the key institutions and infrastructure the rest of the world eventually recognizes you as the legitimate leader. So maybe just capture the UN Building, grab hold of the Internet, and play King of the Hill for a while until the world recognizes your global authority.
