either have a fast entry or enough power to push through 3rd gear without clutch kicking you have to upshift/downshift to keep the wheels slipping as you swing from left to right  steer with the gas pedal more than the wheel also suspension tweaking is the best way to compensate for low horsepower or bad timing

Thanks for that. Yeah I figured manual transmission would factor into proper drifting. I need to stop relying on automatic. Could you elaborate on clutch kicking and the suspension tweaking?

irl you can just literally kick the clutch in to get the back wheels to spin while you're turning this is how people initiate a lot of drifts in stock cars like the 240sx and cressidas and stuff that are rwd but are lacking in raw engine power in forza the clutch is a silly game mechanic that isnt really intuitive and doesnt make much sense. supposedly it creates an artificial acceleration boost for actual racing but for drifting purposes you can use it to slide around when you dont have the momentum to use tour brakes or simply power over/through the rest of the drift. tbh if you want to play a modern game that handles clutchkicks properly then play dirt rally because its the only casual game that seems to handle it well enough. as for suspension the most basic thing is toe out the front wheels. you can also cam them out and even lower the ride height. this is kind of the most important thing for drifting unless you want to push more than 300hp you can also gently caress with the rear wheels - some ppl prefer more grip, some like to cam them out like in the front but the front end setup seems to be the most significant thing across the board. you can also mess with the springs and preload and bars and spoilers and stuff but a lot of that stuff is preferential and best to slowly tweak out on your own as you get a feel for the specific cae you're in. a cool thing about forza is you can convert your car to awd and put the majority of power in to the rear wheels. in mid engine cars you can even easily set this up so that the car loving drifts itself perfectly by just laying on the gas but it is easier to spin out of control oh also make sure traction control and abs type poo poo is off also wait for it to rain and avoid traffic in drift zones but thats moreso luck than anything to rely on

I've been debating grabbing Dirt Rally actually, though isn't there a newer one coming out soon? Forgive my ignorance as despite loving Top Gear/The Grand Tour I have no idea what you mean when you say "cam out." I also had no idea you could tweak the power distro like that, that's going to let me do some really daft poo poo with awds in my garage. And thank you for explaining this stuff duder

So the more I play Forza Horizon 3, the more I realize it's basically just a great big fun car sandbox. And because of this, I've decided I no longer want to be limited by having to earn money to get the cars I want, or punished for wanting to fast travel or wanting to change cars without breaking the rhythm of exploring the world. So... how likely am I to get caught and my account messed with for Cheat Engining in like a trillion Forzabux to play around with? Or should I keep it reasonable and just top off my bank account at 12 or 13 million in single player every time it starts to get low?
