I can actually believe his story. Let's assume that Kurt or one of his large sons knew that hentai was the word for cartoon porn. A lot of very ignorant people don't know that hentai is a rich, diverse medium encompassing an almost infinite number of pornographic genres, and just think tentacles when they hear hentai. I forget the context but hentai got brought up in a conversation at work and one of my co-workers, who's into anime as well, eye's bulged out of her head and yelled, "DO YOU KNOW WHAT HENTAI IS!?!? IT'S TENTACLE PORN!!!!" After we all had a laugh I sat her down and set her on the right path.
