myron cope posted:The Preds were gifted some power plays though, most likely as penance. I mean, they were all legitimate penalties but probably not "potential Cup-winning game" penalties. Also the Pens didn't get any power plays, probably for same. I knew someone would make this argument, but it was an early as gently caress whistle that should have never blown. There were scrums in front of the crease that were just as blocking of the puck and no whistle got blown.

Fact: the refs spent the rest of the game trying to give the Preds that goal back Fact: the refs are not allowed to actually put a goal on the board, the best they can do is keep giving one team power plays and refuse to give the other team power plays, so that is what they did Fact: the Predators failed to score on their power plays Fact: Here lie the Nashville Predators, they never scored

Ginette Reno posted:The crazy thing is the Pens are probably the favorite yet again next year not just based on back to back but Letang coming back would in theory make them pretty fuckin' good again. This offseason has the potential to be really interesting considering the expansion draft and all the players up for new contracts. The players they still have signed or as RFAs are more than enough to make them a strong team but the biggest difference between the Shero era and the Rutherford era is probably how they handled the depth players.

But everyone gets screwed by the intent to blow/actual blowing dead at one point or another. This was just incredibly bad timing for Nashville. I think Pittsburgh stil played well enough to "deserve" the win, if that makes sense.

It's not like they were down by a goal or anything at that point, they had ample opportunity to score a goal, and couldn't beat Murray.

I had a major surgery and broken bone and I was limited to lifting 10 then 15 then 20lbs over 2 months.
