Question for anyone that's used a Surface- if I press a modifier key like the Shift key and use the pen, I get a small text box at my cursor that says Shift. This is extraordinarily annoying because it covers a bit of the screen where I'm trying to work. Is there a setting I can select that will shut that off? I'm not even sure what to search for since I don't know what this feature is called.

Not sure what that might do for you on a native tablet device like a Surface. I'm a huge prick

The Razer Orbweaver and Tartarus do not. The older model Razer used to put out, the Nostromo, had one but it was really poorly implemented, I wouldn't recommend searching one out for it. You can keymap scroll up and scroll down from the mouse scroll wheel to a button on the Tartarus/Orbweaver, but you get one unit of scroll for one button press, so if you wanted to execute fluid scrolling, you'd have to hit the key multiple times, which is quite annoying. If you use the joystick on the device, to which scroll up/down are default mapped, you still have to click the joystick once for each unit of scroll, but it's less mechanically fatiguing to use the joystick than to use the keypad buttons. There may be a workaround but I haven't looked for it. It's irritating but the mapping for page up/page down will continually move while holding down the button, so if you can use those keys for your rolling or scrubbing or whatever in whichever software you use, then you'd be set. Logitech also has a keypad you could search for, I've never used it and don't know if it has a scroll wheel. Even without a good mapping of the mouse scroll, I can't recommend these things enough, they're really useful. It's almost liked they looked at the criticism on the scroll wheel on the nostromo and just took it out instead of fixing it, which is super disappointing. One thing I've never tried is macros- so you may be able to create a macro where when you hit a key, it repeats the action until you hit it again, that would solve the problem somewhat. --Ok I just tried Macros. So, you can record button presses to build a macro, and then assign that to a key, and you have the option to have the macro continuously execute until the next keypress. So that would work, EXCEPT the record function doesn't detect the mouse scroll wheel. So I hate to be that guy, but I am being that guy. Hi, I'm the Canuck that just bought the Monoprice 22" pen display. I have a computer running windows 7. I plugged the 22" display in. I usb'd it. I had to use a HDMI to DVI-D connector as I only seem to have one HDMI output. The computer recognizes the stylus going over the screen. But I have a black screen. My monitor (the one that uses the HDMI) is fine. My tablet sits there with a blue power light, but black screen. ......help? I did install the latest graphics card drivers. I did go to monoprice's site and download their latest drivers. I extended desktops. I duplicated desktops. I tried googling but it's all reviews when I need troubleshooting. anywhere I can go or does anyone have any ideas?

I checked google just now and they seem to all suggest a registry edit. I did a few edits to my registry last night to turn off a dialog box when I plug in headphones on my laptop. If it's just one value I wouldn't worry about it. It's likely a switch from 0 to 1 on a very specific registry item that you can reverse.

Are you using the HDMI or dvi port on the monitor itself? On my ugee(which is nearly the same as the Huion and the monoprice) The HDMI Port Stopped Working After Like a month(I'm not sure why my phone is capitalizing everything) and I had to use the dvi instead

I did the first thing multiple times, since this isn't my first monoprice tablet and I always remember it being poo poo. I did another scrub of anything that is remotely tablet/ink/touch pc on my windows 7 machine until I didn't see anything on control panel for any touch options. Then I followed the instruction manual again. Still a black screen. The tablet setting dialog sees the "2nd monitor" but then freezes when trying to calibrate. At this point it has to be a bum tablet. I can't see there being anything wrong with my machine. I'll try to send for a replacement but if that doesn't work then I'm getting a refund and will obviously never, ever be able to digital paint with a tablet monitor...sniff... Thanks all for the help though!

So, my wife just bought me a 27QHD Non-Touch Cintiq. Should be here Tuesday. I'm trying to figure out where the hell on my desk it'll go. Purchased an Ergo Arm LX and adapter for it but looking at the specs this thing is gigantic. I was going to order the 22HD-T but uhh.. she beat me to the trigger? Jumping from the Intous Pro Model L it's going to be interesting to say the least. Edit - I thought my desk could handle the size due to using some 27IPS monitors but it's friggin larger than those. Got my Cintiq 27qhd yesterday. Got it play with it for about half an hour before working on the house. It's gorgeous if a tad bit dark, colors seem slightly off. Going to be tweaking it a bit. My Ergo arm comes in some time tomorrow so I'll be changing the desk layout. It's very nice, responsive and only puts off a little heat. Sharp as heck and I'm really digging the remote. Been at work most of the day but off tomorrow. Can't wait to actually get some time on it.

I didn't even bother buying it because I was so sure it wasn't going to be stable. Currently looking into getting a newer model cintiq because I'm tired of the size, heat, and slight reddish tones that it gives off when painting. Could never calibrate it to output correct colors. Ever since I removed my 21ux from my setup I remodeled by work space for better workflow. I have a dell u2415 in portrait mode to my left and my HP 25xw in the center for multiple windows in photoshop. I have no idea where I'm going to put a cintiq. I also have a audio interface and 2 comically large studio monitors on my desk as well so I'm really out of space. Trying to visualize how the arm might fix the problem.... Hi guys! I'm getting a new laptop soon and I'm considering getting a Cintiq 13" to go with it. At the moment I have an old Bamboo that I'd like to hook up until I get some pennies saved for the Cintiq. Would it be possible to have both of these installed and use them interchangeably or should I uninstall the Bamboo when I buy the Cintiq? (I already have a Yiynova 19mspu attached to my desktop which is ace but I know there are wacom compatibility problems so I'd keep the Cintiq on the lappy).

Wacom drivers are unreliable enough when dealing with one tablet, I can't imagine the headache you might be in for juggling two. I'd uninstall the Bamboo before installing the new tablet. The Cintiq has a "Display Toggle" feature that will let you use it like a regular tablet on your laptop screen, if that's what you're wanting.

Okay yeah that's fair enough. The toggle thing is helpful, I was mainly thinking the Bamboo more portable. As an aside though, since I'm used to Yiynova as a brand (my msp19u has been flawless since I got it years ago) , would anyone here recommend the Yiynova / Similar Other Brand smaller screen tablets? I'm looking for something vaguely portable to go with the laptop, so A4 size or so. Side buttons (like the 13hd) would be a massive plus.

I'm actually looking at this model right now: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06VW9TYWS/ref=psdc_430562031_t4_B01KPR4TZ4 - the XP-Pen Artist16 15.6 Inch - reviews are sort of mixed, but I've seen a lot of things that sound pretty positive about it and it wouldn't be my primary tablet (like I say, the MSP19U is my primary tablet, which I've never had a problem with apart from some colour issues which are easily fixed). It's a little larger than the 13HD which is a plus (the 10" model seems too small for me). Does anyone have any experience with this? I'll primarily be using Sai and Photoshop (mainly Sai).

Just keep the drivers installed unless there's a conflict, no need to uninstall the bamboo drivers if there's a possibility you'll use it again when you're on the road. I have an Intuos Pen & Touch and a Cintiq 13HD, haven't had any issues switching between them (I am not running Windows, though).

I'm using an Intuos Pro Medium to edit photos on a 27" iMac. However, it's taking up too much room on my desk. I was recommended to get a medium because I'm using it with a 27" screen. Would it be a problem to use a smaller tablet and, if not, which one should I get? I'm not a pro and I'm sure I could get by with a "less pro" tablet than the one I've got now. I've been looking at the Intuos Photo but people seem to say that the smaller tablets don't work that well with bigger screens.

It's a matter of preference. The big issue is that with a smaller tablet, a tiny movement becomes huge on the screen. If you're making detailed linework or paintings this can lead to a lot of jagged edges and weird artifacts because any imperfections in your strokes get magnified onto the larger screen. Think blowing up a 300x400 .jpg you found on google into poster size. If you're just doing basic photo touchup and nothing super detailed you should be fine.

I tried sanding and rubbing it off but yeah eventually just got a citrus based goo remover. Office smells like oranges now and my pen's nice and nonsticky.
