Which reminds me I swear sephiroths soul harvest in kh1 was a KO unless you elixired yourself as it hit. But apparently it only lowered your hp to 1? I guess that's just as much a death sentence in that fight.

As weird as it was to see it w/o context, it wasn't the worst KH experience imo. And the mobile game doesn't really help explain anything cause it's mostly a separate story from what Back Cover shows.

I guess that's just as much a death sentence in that fight. Yeah, it was an HP-to-1 attack, but Sephiroth's attacks were so nutso it was practically a combo into KO.  Fun fact: the attack wasn't "Soul Harvest" or "Sin Harvest", that was just Lance Bass doing the line kinda poorly. The attack is Heartless Angel, and the actual voice line is "Descend, Heartless Angel!"This has been your regular reminder that Sephiroth's original voice actor was Lance Bass.

New Patch just dropped for 1.5+2.5 Remix, has some big fixes. Save crashes are apparently gone and THEY FINALLY FIXED THE loving XEMNAS RC I think they also added some new scenes to the Days movie or something?

I think they were just overstocked. I'd still like to pick it up at some point; it's been years since I played either game and I skipped the PS3 versions.

Continuing the Square Enix tradition of superbosses, I suppose. He's way harder than Phantom and Kurt but he's also the most fun boss in the game so I suppose it makes sense.

I was kinda surprised how much easier Unknown/Mysterious Figure/Xemnas was. Part of it is probably having the party and summons available.

I'm on chain of memories and have beaten traverse town, wonderland, herc level, and Halloween town. How many more levels are there, and do I have to replay a bunch? Also I don't remember the plot of two at all so I'm super confused.

Whether KH1 Xemnas is harder than Sephiroth or not really depends on how well you can handle his roulette mechanic. I can't handle it well, so he's harder for me. Kurt Zisa is fun as poo poo. Phantom is dumb and boring.

Pretty cool that they actually patched the game. A lot of us thought that Square would've just moved on, maybe next time just tell us you're still working on it. Also pretty neat that they finally fixed the obscure Experiment crash. I wonder if that means they'll fix the KH1 summon crash and puppy chest crash? You have still have to go through the rest of the KH1 worlds (Agrabah, Hollow Bastion, Atlantica, Monstro, 100 acre wood, neverland) and there are 3 different worlds beyond that. Most of the worlds are recycled from KH1 yes, though you don't have to rebeat any of them? Chain of memories is before KH2 and isn't super related in it's main plot, so don't worry about that. The main premise of Sora's story is that he gets pulled into Castle Oblivion -> sees bad guy -> chases bad guy through levels of CO -> gradually his memories get hosed with. It'll come more into play in the late part of the game.

It was originally a GBA game, so while the worlds were retreads, they were done very differently. It's been forever since I played RE COM, but I'm pretty sure they mostly did it because they could recycle assets from KH1 wholesale.

It's cool that they are patching issues now instead of the old days where they'd just stick around forever and probably carry over to the sequels. That being said, they should really be playtesting these games after they patch them. That Marluxia bug is just embarrassing. No way they could've fought the boss even once without noticing it.

Instead he seems to overshoot the destination and appear on the opposite spot of the arena from where he teleported. It makes the positioning during that attack a lot more awkward and unreliable.

It's the part where he throws you into the air which IIRC has been broken since the original Final Mix came out. The only way to consistently avoid damage has been Session since the reaction commands just didn't work properly
