I read somewhere* that the CIA once air dropped a bunch of copies of the Gettysburg Address down on Cuba to try to sway the population towards liberty but they forgot the little squiggly line in "años" which made it seem like Lincoln was saying "Four score and seven buttholes ago". *probably not from a reputable source.

It's advertised that way so people on welfare can buy ice with food stamps. Wow... Only 5 pages too late. Oops. Shoggoth bgosh has a new favorite as of 19:24 on Jun 12, 2017 |

There are alternative open tunings that will allow you to strum on the strings and automatically play a full chord; you just tune each string to a note of that chord. This happens a lot in the blues and some folk music, and especially slide guitar. You can use a Capo with open chords to raise the key of the instrument without having to re tune everything higher by hand. Nothing Wrong in using a Capo. However Boris is a moron and has no idea. Nothing he does above the Capo will have any affect.

Are there simple songs that allow you to only play "open" strings with the capo there and no fingering, or does this mean he's just doing air guitar with a prop? You're on the money. A capo is equivalent to someone laying their finger across the entire fret board (barring), raising the pitch of any open (un-fretted/fingered) note played. It lets you adjust the key of the piece you're playing, without affecting the fingering you use (apart from shifting your hand however many frets down). There do exist 'half' capos, that only press down on some of the strings, or complex mechanical devices that let you capo individual strings at individual frets. This is not one of them. As you say, his left hand is doing nothing. TheMaskedUgly has a new favorite as of 21:24 on Jun 12, 2017 |
