I wish I wasn't so busy this weekend because I'd love a photo of my 1998 Corvette next to the 1978 indy pace car edition, and there's one I always see parked at this used car dealership for the past year or so.

Let's see if I can find a Hyundai Excel or Accent on the road still after 20 years, I feel as if all of them have died by now

I have a very wealthy friend will all sorts of nice cars and he still uses a late 90s excel to drive to work because if it fucks up there's no shortage of parts in which ever lovely country town he is closest to.

I have no idea what car would even qualify as a 20 year prior to 2014 Focus. I'm bad at car geneology.

Enourmo posted:E: assuming it counts, take a picture of your car next to its senior at least 20 years older. This can be the same model (05 civic next to an 85) or the closest equivalent in the same segment if the exact model doesn't exist (ie an 09 Focus next to a Pinto), but it must be from the same brand. Alternately, if you drive a car 97 or older, take one with its modern equivalent, again with a >20 model year gap. The older the old car is, the better.

Or an Escort, Contour, or Tempo. Maybe a Mazda 323 or Protege for shits and grins.

With a G35, I'd have to find an old skyline or datsun/Z car. In Michigan. Nooooooope. I like this challenge though.

I was just gonna drive to the closest Mazda dealer and park my '95 miata next to a new one, but that seems to easy. What would be the 20 year old comparison to a LS 430? All of the old full size toyotas never made it to the US.

I could go park the Supra next to a GT86 as that's the only RWD sports car Toyota still make but I feel it's just not cool enough.

I've got a 14 year gap between my M3's so I'm close. There is a euro meet tomorrow I'd like to try and get to. Maybe I'll see if I can pull off the win.

I'm unsure if my neighbour has a 2008 or not. It is an "Executive L," which started production in 2004, but the VIN looks like a Canadian-built fleet model so I think it's at least a 2008-11. Seat Safety Switch fucked around with this message at 05:21 on Jun 14, 2017 |
