It's hard to question the staff that put together back to back Stanley cups, the last one with a defense crew comprised of wishes and bubblegum, but I'm not certain I like exposing rust and protecting Maatta. Of course it could be moot if they already have some kinda deal for flower.

I find it extremely amusing that Colorado has amassed three players named Bork over the years, and that they're all exposed. Like the mgmt is just now realizing that bringing in Borks doesn't guarantee Cups, even if it did happen to work that one time

I think Vegas going to wind up pretty competitive; 3 pairings that are probably second or Borderline third on most other teams, a world class goalie with a few years left in him, and a bunch of second/third line forwards, with maybe a sniper or two in the mix. But m thinking they will need at least 1 great blueliner and.at least one legitimate first line center before the can really threaten. And maybe Jagr. Are there any impact players available in the draft this year that Vegas may actually be able to get, who could be playing with them in the next couple years?

That's what happens when you have a team with a lot of depth that lacks top end talent. I'd give up #14 in this weak draft over losing any of them if that's what happens. If the Isles give up a first and lose de Haan anyway I'll lead the angry mob toward Garth's house myself, but I'm witholding judgement until the details of the trade come out
