Personal picks: If you enjoy insane euro-SF: The Incal and Metabrarons If you enjoy insane ultaviolent US-SF heavily influenced by insane euro-SF: Hard Boiled If you enjoy the wizardly stylings of Mr Alan Moore: The Ballad of Halo Jones Otherwise Brian Vaughn's Saga would probably be a lot of people's go to for current SF comics. Edit: Also seconding Iain M Banks for non picture books.

i haven't really hosed with the gbp papers and that little section of the literature upon a cursory first reading, it seems surprisingly similar in spirit to HashNet, another really loving obscure bit of the neural net literature it's cuz there is actually already caching in neural net, cuz backpropagation is a dynamic programming dealio (deltas there are the cached elements) in the same way that there is actually already caching in belief propagation, because in implementation the message passing, the messages are the dynamical table
