For some reason he really specifically seems to want it to look like a suicide, too. Guilt over what he said to Jimmy?

Zebulon posted:Wonder if Gus will be pissed Nacho tried to kill him, or happy at what the results are. Hard to imagine that Gus isn't pleased with this outcome. I wouldn't be surprised to see Nacho working for Gus now, or as an ally within the Salamanca/Eladio organization itself as a mole. Having it happen right in front of Gus is perfect, the only way it should have happened. Trying to save his life is also a drat fine show for Bolsa and the goons too. And drat, you do not disappoint S3 finale!

Yeah, that seems to confirm that he was trying to commit suicide beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Have to give Chuck points for a tough loving suicide method.

At the very least it's attempted suicide, it's to be seen if he actually did die.

The Human Crouton posted:Have to give Chuck points for a tough loving suicide method. Yeah, that is real extreme. It could go either way though, based on what we've seen he's quite possibly alive. In fact, I think it's more likely that he is. I like that they learned from the S3 Breaking Bad finale and how after a lot of people wanted Jesse not to have gone through with it after how they shot it, they went and made it properly ambiguous so they can go either way and they aren't completely locked into one thing.

It's eleven fifty nine and fifty nine seconds, here's what happened on Better Call Saul! ...for 100 points, what's a pun you can make about the shooooooooooooooow, Peter Gould!

For all that this season foreshadowed Chuck's death extremely heavily, I'm genuinely impressed how they swerved at the end there and had it be a suicide rather than an accident.

KoRMaK posted:I thought that wierd kicking thing was some sort of seizure or tick for a couple seconds Chuck's mental illness was literally the central focus that the whole season revolved around more than either of the other two. Of course his final unraveling was going to get a huge chunk of screen time.
