i wonder why dems were convinced that the candidate who had the worst performance of anyone in these special elections would be the winner? maybe it has something to do with him being a dem party insider and the dem party only helping you if you're rich and well-off enough for them to have rubbed elbows with you at some point. also, that hillary fans are now blaming bernie for this loss for his "poison endorsement" after they screamed and demanded he endorse ossoff (and destroyed another candidates' chances just to try to force him to). they're children
|
# ? Jun 21, 2017 12:02 |

also lol at cc saying that the other special election candidates outperformed ossoff cause they weren't helped by the DCCC. if you think the dems are so toxic that we have to try to pretend dem candidates aren't dems, maybe the dem party just shouldn't exist anymore

I wish the "pragmatic" centrists would show a little pragmatism sometime and back and support people not because of nepotism but rather for their ability to appeal to voters. instead they choose to throw record breaking sums at terrible candidates and let all other candidates fail

Backing Ossoff was entirely about pragmatism. If the candidate has no ideology then you don't have to worry about any of that messy politics stuff.

"Pragmatic" is a dog whistle. When you hear it you should think "doesn't affect the donor class in a negative way." They NEVER say that word in any other context.

The Democratic party is incredibly pragmatic once you realize their goals don't include winning elections or enacting legislation that improves the material conditions of most people. If the democrats were actually pragmatic they'd start vocally playing the part of Vince McMahon and start being a corporate villain that local dems could play against. "those egg heads in Washington have a study that suggests we should be appealing to moderate Republicans, but here's what we think of their study!" and then you wipe your rear end with it in a town hall. Dems need to be cutting more promos

To be fair, the closest thing to Ossoff winning Net Gingrich/Tom Price's old seat would be for a Republican to win John Lewis' seat after he retires and I can't imagine that happening even if we did elect a gay space communist to be president.
