Hot take: If I were a federal-level elected Republican right now you know what I'd make my highest priority? Doing/saying sexist poo poo to Kamala Harris. Just really loving 1950s it up with her. Every time some idiot right-winger calls her hysterical or whatever she gets free publicity for the outraged Clintonites that dominate Democratic primary voter rolls. This is the kind of poo poo that would make her more likely to win a Dem primary even if she has an Ossoff-esque non-platform and Clinton-esque reactions to actually talking to people, and as recent history shows, will do her absolutely no favors in the general. If I ran Breitbart and wanted to keep Trump in office I'd start making every headline poo poo like "KAMALA HARRIS: Why won't this loopy broad get back in the drat kitchen already? Her husband must be starving! And would it kill you to wear something a little nicer, sweetheart? *chomps cigar*" yeah I'd have the headline say *chomps cigar*, it'd work

SirPhoebos posted:And democrats are all "well it was a good showing". Make sure to point out to anyone saying this that it is not an R+23 district. Tom Price's challenger last fall raised $0, did not campaign, did not appear to live at his listed address, and probably didn't exist. Ossoff did worse than Hillary Clinton in the district.

Some are saying that ditching her removes that problem, assuming you can get a less well-known villain to fill her shoes. I have my doubts about this because I think the Republicans are just going to label any Democrat as the second coming of Mao, but I'm curious what others think.

here's the list of nationally-known dem or dem-adjacent politicians that are well-liked: - bernie sanders - barack obama - jimmy carter so to undo the pelosi effect by replacing her pretty much obama or carter have to take a house seat and become the minority leader
