the 10key part is for data entry into spreadsheets. you aren't doing that, are you? then you don't need one.

i use 10keys all the time w/out spreadsheets. also i need proper home/end cluster.

10key is demonstrably faster and single handed, i don't think i've used the top num row for anything except shifted characters in like a decade

WUT.
also that numpad enter key is super useful to bash with my right thumb sometimes. but tkl keybs are still pretty cool&good when space really is at a premium

yeah different strokes for different folks and all that, if you either punch out a lot of words, use the mouse (or whatever) as your main tool or if you type very little a tkl can be good, but please don't fall in the trap of "ha i'm not an excel nerd i don't need this", the numpad is cool and good for most use cases

Research confirms that black is a color like silver is a color, and that beyond black is clarity.
i like the smaller form factor of the tkl and I never really use the numpad anyway so

That keyboard is an epic fail because it kept the number row, but just moved it to the bottom. The keyboard I'm talking about only has 3 horizontal rows.

i wouldn't drop it entirely, just have the shifted characters become the new main ones and swap in a new set of whatever as the shift mod ones

alternately, i'd be down to rock some nice mono legend caps, shown here in a granite/think different kitbash (on a tkl for maximum irony):
