Was TJ Miller actually that fat or is it some body suit? He appears to be normal in most photos.

I'm not bothered by Pied Piper being 'underdogs' because that doesn't seem to be the point of the show to me. People don't turn into Gavin because they've made the right moves and built a successful and ethical company. People turn into Gavin for the same reason Richard is turning into Gavin, repeated failures that drive you to compromise and compartmentalize behavior to achieve an end. Even the petty poo poo is the same. How much has Gavin been hosed by posturing and and one upmanship at this point? It's all part of the commentary on the industry. It's driven by brilliant people, but many times those at the top are damaged in some way. It's not like things haven't changed, they've been escalating. It started with a violation of an admittedly bullshit employment contract and we've gotten to to a felony cybercrime.

Is Richard saying free internet free as in beer, or free as in speech? It's not free as in beer because you still have to pay for your cell phone service to get access to the real internet to use his distributed internet. Free as in speech just means that it will become Tor AKA your phone gets filled up with child pornography.

He means free as in speech, which means season 5 will largely be focused around how that isn't how the internet works and his despair at his app being shut down the microsecond the government learns about it.

I'm just waiting for him to shut down Space Saver for no reason. He's stuck in this perpetual cycle of building an app people actually want to sneak in the app that he wants. Then he gets frustrated because no one wants his big idea, so he leaves the thing people actually want.

A good summary would be something like minimizing both pain and pleasure maximizes contentment and happiness. Epicureanism and hedonism are quite distinct from one another.

In the first few seasons they had him gain weight for the role, but at least during this one, he’s wearing a body suit. He said in an interview that he would binge on pizza and beer to put on pounds but the past few seasons they told him it wasn’t required anymore.

Huh, I thought he had just defaulted to "I make bank on voice roles, bring on the beer and chicken wings" lifestyle. Good for him.

My problem with this season isn't "they're still the underdog," it's that it's simply not as funny as the ones that came before it. If it were, I couldn't care less where they are on the tech industry totem pole. Something like a mathematical formula created to suck the maximum amount of dicks or two horses loving in the middle of an important business meeting goes a long way to pave over the cracks of a contrived plot.

I'm pretty sure Erlich's done something at some point to piss off the State Department, and we *know* he's pissed off the IRS. Also, calling it now - Richard's going to try to kill himself and end up failing at *that*, too. "Why did you try to kill yourself with a Prius? Once it realized it wasn't going anywhere the engine shut off and all you did was fall asleep and run out the battery. Dick."

You know that thing where Chinese firms hire white foreigners just to be white foreigners in their offices? Maybe Erlich finally found a country that appreciates him for being a white dude (and not much else).

For his sake I hope it works out more like George Clooney leaving ER vs David Caruso leaving NYPD Blue (Not that Caruso's career was a disaster, just movies weren't his thing in the end)

He did recently move to NYC specifically to focus on stand-up, so maybe he has something else in mind for his career besides all of the movies he has lined up.
