Hey, what a coincidence, in addition to the $3.00/dz best-eggs-I've-ever-had, I go to my market for the stories too, Drunky. From actual human beings, no less! Not hallucinations after a late night/early morning of binging on Breitbart and Mr. Boston.

Like the farmer with type 1 diabetes who was able to afford a CGM for the first time in his life with the help of being on an ACA exchange. No more diabetic comas!

Or the one who went for surgery for a melanoma on his back (probably from a lifetime of extreme sun exposure). Three years gone and no recurrence!

Or the woman who literally fought an owl hand-to-hand for one of her last egg-chickens in a dry year when predators were particularly aggressive. (I'm still not 100% sure I believe this but it is metal as gently caress; sadly, she lost)

So go gently caress yourself forever. Whatever you get paid to mistakenly drink a bottle of ink and vomit it all over the page, it''s far, far more you deserve. So give all of it to your farmer's market, you worthless pissdrain.

"One?"

Well, okay, I dunno about the "biker gang" part but offhand, Lester, Branco, both McCoys, Delonas all love to do the "perverts with 5:00 shadows" thing. Tinsley would absolutely be one of them if it wouldn't get him thrown off the funnypages, so he has to sublimate it very, very thinly.

Tinsley just stands head and shoulders above the rest because he has a similar level of contempt for everyone who isn't just like him (a leaky sack of ketone bodies and misery).

Russian soft power is all about distracting/weakening their opponents so Russian hard power goes unopposed, they give no fucks about persuading people that Russia is actually good. Also tu quoques are super effective against the American and European left, so it's hard to fault the Russians for sticking with what works.

More accurately, though, McKee is a dumb, dumb motherfucker who confuses direct action in response to an actual action with "being surprised that Trump keeps his promises." However, his dying synapses aren't quite making the connection that perhaps the stupid ol' lib was angry in the first three panels precisely because he took Trump's threats seriously.

Why are nearly all right-wing cartoonists racists too? Is it really so hard for a political cartoonist to have conservative values without drawing racist caricatures, sexist slurs, and transphobic insults in every other panel?

That's what conservatism is, at base, though. Punching down and maintaining your place at the top. Like, theoretically it shouldn't be hard to be, I dunno, the George Will or Charles Krauthammer of conservative cartoonists, where you're able to just barely cover all that with a veneer of "intellectual respectability," but sooner or later they all let the mask slip. I guess Allie comes closest but at best he's tone deaf (particularly with his involvement with Prickly City).

If there's a conservative political cartoonist who isn't a vile piece of poo poo to some extent, I haven't seen them.

Illinois is in a bad state. Oh, it’s not a bad state per se—it is, after all "The Land of Lincoln.” There are plenty of good people there—especially in the rural areas. It’s not their fault that they’re burdened with the city of Chicago. It’s a place long-known for its corruption and profligate spending. It has now reached an end game and there’s not enough money to keep the farce going. Eventually, other people’s money runs out. Now they can’t cover city operating costs if they want to cover the massive pension obligations--and they must do the latter because it’s mandated by their state constitution.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel is a colossal failure. His solution to the runaway murder rate in his city? He calls for even more gun control. His solution to the fiscal crisis is to go deeper in debt. To help salvage his damaged reputation, the mayor went into virtue signaling mode and denounced President Trump over ‘climate change.’ Instead of facing the gigantic problems in his city, he trumpets the climate change farce. Hey Rahm—you can’t even save Chicago. Forget about saving the ‘planet.’ Rahm vowed his sanctuary city will adopt the Paris Climate Change Accord regardless. Chicago is also a ‘sanctuary city,’ where illegal immigrants are shielded and supported—federal law be damned.

High taxes, statist micromanagement, and chronic overspending may help liberal politicians look good over the short term, but it destroys the wealth of the people over the long term. Socialism or progressivism or whatever else they want to call it these days never works well over the long term. We recently saw it fail in Venezuela and then Puerto Rico. Chicago will fail next and it will take Illinois down with it.

Presumably Dilbert is able to influence this investigation since they live in the same house, and the two of them are conspiring together. Dilbert commits acts of dubious legality knowing that Dogbert will make money investigating them but never actually convict him. This scenario reads as a metaphor for having someone beholden to Trump, such as Jeff Sessions, being able to influence the investigation (by firing Mueller or otherwise pressuring him) is an inherently bad idea. Adams is thus satirizing the inherent corruption in the executive branch investigating itself and calling for a truly independent probe.

They are not arguing in good faith; don't do the work for them and certainly don't try to justify the positions that they don't really hold.

60% of the country doesn't like her and only 30% does. This isn't me repeating R talking points, or trying to chase after Rs, it's me trying to prevent another Hillary Clinton situation where dems blow an election because they refused to acknowledge that the long time politician just had too much hate thrown at them for too long. This is the same thing I've said since November whenever the topic has come up. Keeping her there leaves her unpopularity hanging around the party going into 2018. She's unpopular and given how long she's been there is unlikely to become more popular. The democrats would be better served finding someone new because again, it's been nearly a generation since we've had a change in leadership and it's good to have changes in leadership when the current leadership has both been there for a while and is not particularly popular.
