Apparently Kevin Owens called Mike and Maria after their TNA contract expired and told them it would be stupid of them to renew their contract with TNA and just wait for the WWE call!

what is the whole kanellis gimmick anyway? i watched them on tna a few times and she would just come out and talk about being a miracle in a really stilted voice and i don't even remember either them wrestling. of course this is tna so i don't remember much outside of crazzy steve.

She's the star and he's the trophy husband, it's, as people have noted, just the Miz and Maryse's gimmick with the gender roles flipped. I'm not sure who Mike works with for his first program, though. Maybe Dillinger? Or Harper? I could see them try to pull some kind of "Harper's an ugly redneck who will never know true love" angle.
