Fill this form out: https://www.archives.gov/files/research/order/standard-form-180.pdf Mail it to the address associated with your branch/years of service. You can also try the courthouse at your Home of Record (HoR). DD-214's (copies) are sent there (sometimes). Be aware the mailed request can take a loooong time (10 months). How long ago did you get out? If you have any senior 42 series friends they might be able to just pull that sucker out of your iPerms.

The rumormill for a deployment has been going strong all year due to the crazy training schedule but we're still in the dark into what we're going to do or where we're going. One rumor is Korea since we're aligned to Asia/Pacific but there's already a BDE from the 4th ID with orders to replace the current BDE there in the summer 2018. IBCT's seem to be going to Iraq and Afghanistan, SBCT's to Afghanistan, and ABCT's to Kuwait and Korea.

If you're that close to ETS you should be fine. Then again, the creepy pedo dude in my troop still had to deploy even though his ETS was something like eight or nine months in. That was before we found out he was a pedo, though. He went back just in time for his ETS sincerely believing that everything would be cool and that he was home free... Stepped off the plane and immediately got cuffed. gently caress him. Anyway, you're probably in the clear.

When I was still CM we had a mechanic that got caught in a similar fashion, luckily the dad of the girl caught wind and called the police before the soldier got his hands on her. She was 11 or 12 if memory serves me. The guy got 5 years for child pornography and placed on the list. Had another CM soldier who was locking up his wife in his master bedroom closet and raping her at knifepoint every day. He's serving 20 to life on a myriad of charges at a Georgia State Pen. I think I've posted about my old BC so I'll leave him out. Criminal Corps at its finest.

I was pulling brigade staff duty in Korea so of course I started to dig through poo poo of interest, and there was some dude out of 2ID who was on accompanied tour and locked his wife in the bathroom all day every day. Some how she got hold of a phone and the only number she could think of to call was the old unit staff duty. Their staff duty called our staff duty and the MPs went around and there she was, handcuffed to a towel rack in the bathroom. They immediately go to pick him up at his motorpool, and as soon as they tell him what it's about he punches an MP in the mouth and makes a break for freedom via the motor pool chain link fence. Of course they catch him and beat him to a pulp and he's in hospital while they figure out the best way to lock him up forever. I wanna say that she was trying to sue the army for letting her be imprisoned for months, but I could be mixing that up with another army kindap story.

I remember a time when a guy in my unit stole a truck because he was sick of AT and wanted to go home. During night shift QC. While he was the staff duty NCO. ... While I was also the staff duty officer and the fuzzy private runner was too scared of the shiny to wake me up because the guy had been missing for several hours.

I was denied a PCS award because I was "too fat." Had to show up to PT formation while I was clearing, and once was late to formation. Was counseled and given corrective training with a "text me every day at 530" and one time the text didn't go through on his phone until 545 or something and he tried to write me and article 15. I'm sure I have it somewhere because I was getting ready to take it to JAG (my phone showed sent at 5:30). We did a daily PT formation with 5-6 people everyday. Complete with commander and "top". Both of which I regard as complete shitlords whom I would not hesitate to punch in the face. They treated me bad but treated my friend worse and she's dead. Edit: oh I was still "wrong" because "I should have called him to make sure my text went through". Goddamn idiot.

Unless you are retiring. Retirement awards can be given regardless of your flagged status. I still give certificates to Soldiers in my section when they ETS/PCS/whatever because that's perfectly fine under a flag. Then there are some sneaky loopholes too (if you like the Soldier).
