If you're not a president then you might as well be.

His career isn't over. Even if he doesn't run again, he has so much influence and popularity that his endorsement and support will be highly sought after in the 2020 dem primary. You're calling him a loser because he just barely failed to win the nomination for president from a political party that he is not a member of. That is idiotic, especially when you consider the irrelevance that every other 2016 candidate besides DJT has faded into.

Failing to win = losing.
There's no way to spin this.

For all his experience he sure failed to predict that outcome.

Putin didn't really do anything out of the ordinary, because screwing with the elections have become tradition by this point.

There's no spin necessary. He's stronger and more visible than ever before. The election lifted him up from the fringe to the forefront. This is inarguable and to call it a defeat displays a staggering ignorance of the way politics works.

Serious question: is power really that great / intoxicating for these people? If I had half as much money as some of these politicians, I would buy a mountain, build a mansion on top of it, then have food and women delivered to me daily and give 0 fucks about anything else.

Why would I spend any time trying to run for office or influence things in the world?

HRC's campaign had a social media spin division called Correct The Record that she intelligently spent several million dollars on, rumors got around that they were paying people to post pro-HRC content anonymously on social media but I can't speak to the veracity of that. Anyway, America has a long way to climb to get itself out of the hole the Cold War put us in but we'll get there eventually goddamn it because that's what we do. :911:

You know how they teach Beowulf in English class, and Beowulf is basically just some dude who was like "PUT MY NAME ON A ROCK WHEN I DIE SO EVERYONE REMEMBERS ME AFTER I'M DEAD"

I think about this all the time. Some of these multi billionaires have to come to a point where they finally realize all the money and power in the world cannot fix their broke brain depression, and corrupting the entire country isn't really worth having the largest bank account and the biggest virtual dick for bragging rights.

If I was rich and powerful I'd start and maintain a bird sanctuary. A really big one. Also I'd like to work with urban gardening.

And furthermore, I'm gonna have to call into question your reading comprehension because when I asked for examples I clearly meant examples of American culture.
