I think they remade lufia 2 for ds? as an action rpg? how did that turn out?

(considering I know nothing about it I assume: poorly)

god bless this grandpa

These were drawn by Jed Henry, an old college friend of mine, who works closely with David Bull to produce them. The series is called Ukiyo-e Heroes and if I remember correctly you can get authentic wood block prints (they might be limited runs) or regular prints of the drawings. Pretty cool process and Jed is a super cool, no drama artist with an adorable family, so buy them!

a shame but the best part about lufia 2 to me was how a map (a short one that basically existed for a cutscene but nonetheless) at the end of the game had a completely scrambled tileset because of a bad pointer someplace

it's pretty bad regardless but at least super mario rpg let you move in 8 directions regardless of the isometric viewpoint unlike a lot of isometric things at the time which arbitrarily determined whether up should be northwest or northeast

Platforming in Ultima VIII or platforming in Half-Life, specifically Xen. Just Xen.

nah i'm contending that smrpg controlled pretty well and the ease with which you could move mario around made it much more fun to play than many other rpgs

The metroid prime games have very high air control (basically identical to being on the ground) and also automatically tilt the camera down a bit to give you a better view.

I recently found out about David Lynch's aborted multimedia adventure game Woodcutters from Fiery Ships and it sounds like it would have been amazing.

David Lynch posted:

It was called... Woodcutters from Fiery Ships... Ceratin events have happened in a bungalow which is behind another in Los Angeles. And then suddenly the woodcutters arrive and they take the man who we think has witnessed these events, and their ship is... uh, silver, like a 30`s kind of ship, and the fuel is logs. And they smoke pipes.

i give myself anxiety for no reason sometimes. my lets play channel is super casual and has no subscribers but i've been crunching my non-work hours playing games because i was lacking stuff for the first half of this month. like there's nothing at stake if i miss a day but the workaholic in me won't allow that

i'm mostly done with that now though. once summer games done quick starts i'm gonna chill out to some BOTW and not record it

e: there's also a surprise party for my brother on saturday and even though that sort of thing is fun, it's still treated in my broken brain as an obligation and obligations also give me anxiety. basically there's only so much lexapro can do

Do what you feel is best for you, IMO. No shame in staying up unless you've got something important you should be doing tomorrow morning, but also no shame in heading to sleep because sleep is good.

i get enough sleep but my hours are usually goofy. i get in a lengthy nap each day to cover for any sleep i miss

the downside is not getting as much sun as i'd like which really affects me badly in the winter (s.a.d. for example), the upside is that next week i'll get to see all the weird speedruns of the GDQ marathon and not just the normie ones

Could you get a lightbox? I use one in winter and it really helps fend off the s.a.d. as well as my depression.
