the right is winning by being elitists able to convince small business tyrants they are better for their bottom line and preying on the racial fears of the dumber lower class while supressing votes as the dems make sure anyone who doesn't like that feels there is absolutely no reason to vote anyway

By the way, the latest episode's discussion about Eliminationism reminded me of some thread in D&D about "what will a post scarcity economy look like" and how I immediately had to hold back "the majority of us will be a part of a genocide to cull out the lower classes" because I didn't feel liking running down that rabbit hole over there

Ok, it's really, really unfair to pin Immolations's dislike of Bragg as this "frowning upon lower things" type when he has done a lot about writing about how Guardian-types have dismissed blue collar centered media and interests as inherently bigoted (And in a way have excused horrifying ideologues over their class position). His dislike for him is more about the quality of his output rather than inherent politics.

I mean dude loves Mishima's output. I don't think him worrying about wokeness in allies is something here.

as someone who's unironically behind New Sincerity (be weird if I was ironically into that...), yes. People confusing 'don't be ashamed of what makes you happy, it's ok to say 'I like this thing that's dumb or weird' as long as it's not hurting anyone' with 'I must ANNOUNCE this to the world, constantly, always, forever'. Mix in a guy like him genuinely being an absolute idiot and just kinda unpleasant dude (apparently this all was because the woman who he tried to put on blast by name wouldn't refill his cup...through the drive-thru?) and yea it's just pure shamelessness and stupidity mixing together.

so somebody has clips of bits from episodes uploaded on YouTube, and the comments are exactly what you'd expect...

I think the alt right is a very expected reaction to the death of the American dream of home ownership, the traditional family model and gainful employment. It's very easy to categorize the whole new conservative movement as a bunch of basement dwelling losers, especially those who self identify as "alt right", which few do, but really it's a normal reaction to the most important things of a person's life being pushed further out of reach. This new conservatism is especially visible in generation Z. This radicalization that you speak of is really happening on both ends of the spectrum as well. The truth is that as society degrades, people are going to become more and more polarized. Similar to what Germany went through in the 1920s.

Graff Fhe 3 weeks ago (edited)
This is a faulty line of logic and ultimately a well known fallacy (according to old school marxist apologists). The first time this kind of argument was made it was like this:
"The reason why the workers support the social democrats and communists/ hate capitalism is because they are the loser of the free market."
then
"The reason why black people hate the concept of race is because they are the most inferior people and just can't accept it."
and now
"The reason why young disenfranchised white Americans turn to the reactionary right is because they are the losers of the modern sudo-liberal anti-traditional social enviroment."

It's an elitist argument without merit. I would categorize it as pseudo-intellectual banter. You could have just called them "nerd virgins who fap to anime" and it would have the same validity as this entire video. If you want to beat the alt-right then you have to identify them as what they are: The american youth wing of the fusion of fascism and the de Maistre enspired reactionary Nouvelle Droite that developed in internet forums. Don't look down on them like the old-guard conservatives did on the civil rights movement in the 60s-70s. As you remember that didn't work out well for them in the long run.

(Blackpill: They're not nihilists. They think on the lines of Unwin (the guy who inspired Huxley to write Brave New World))
(And by the way Liberalism/ Athenian democracy have been hated by most of the west until the middle 19th century)

The more successful I become in life and the more I learn about the world, the further right I go politically. The people I see around me criticizing capitalism, whiteness, masculinity, and christianity are what you'd call "losers". I know that goes against this podcast, but that's been my experience.

Matt Christman is the ugliest man who ever lived. (Except for Amber Frost, who's an even uglier dude.) Matt's hatred of the Alt-Right is obviously driven by the fact that Richard Spencer is good-looking and Matt's face makes babies scream.

Two can play at cheap psychoanalysis and appeal to motive, you hideous fake Leninist.

quote:

I'm sure his wife is roughly as uncomely as he is.

Richard Spencer is bankrolled to the max. How does that make him a failure?

I also noticed you avoided my insinuation that Matt's clumsy critique consists of nothing more than the logical fallacy of appeal to motive.

And since you were the one who raised the topic of "general stupidity," why is the Bourgeois--Commie-Left so terrified of discussing black IQ?

Why don't you randomly select 100 Alt-Righters and have them take a standardized logic test against 100 randomly selected black Americans?

My interactions with liberal Democrats has convinced me that a lot of middle-class Democrats know that the party doesn't have an answer for decaying poor communities and really don't give a poo poo. Not just prominent rich up-themselves idiots on Twitter, a much larger number of people who really want the working class to just die off quietly out of sight. They'll never admit that they want poor minority inner-city communities to die, but they pretty much show their rear end when you ask them about poor rural whites.
