This is if anything THE key power capitalism has had in coopting and suppressing dissent, that it has absorbed deep cultural signifiers and novel concepts and turned them into marketing gimmicks, tools of wealth aggregation, and weapons of coercion. That is Gramsci's hegemony in action, and it can be emulated or socialism can never be successful, which I reject. I think you're right, thank you.

THe furthering of the conference imbalance is awesome especially since it'll get so extreme eventually that conferences will die https://mobile.twitter.com/MaxFox145/status/881229068976488448 https://mobile.twitter.com/KayStrongBaby/status/881229466181271552 I forgive you for being basketball history's biggest bitch move Kevin Durant, this has been a great offseason

I know he's being rhetorical but the answer is because him and his best friends negotiated that cap themselves in the most recent CBA, and it very much supports the hundreds of other players at the lower end of the pay scale and makes the league better as a whole so we don't have bullshit disparity like Real Madrid/Barcelona/Manchester/Chelsea maybe negotiate a better revenue sharing deal if you want the best players paid more ! An NBA where the winners are determined by who has the richest owner doesn't sound very fun.

No "max" contracts, have a cap that you can exceed only for your own picks.

It would suck for every non current max player because it would deflate everyone else's salaries since larger portions of the salary cap would be taken up by 1-2 players on each team

# ? Jul 1, 2017 20:41 |

Spreading the stars is a myth. They will join together one way or another, because a lot of owners would rather have nothing than middle with a good player.

I'd like Iggy on the Rockets. That's a good wing 3/D combo with him and Ariza. It probably wouldn't move the needle too much for GS, but at least it would chip away at their armor. Everyone that isn't already a Rockets a fan will hate the gently caress out of this team, and I wouldn't blame them for a second.
