I just realized that they never call them "Goodyear tires" when talking about them going flat or blowing up, only when putting new ones on on pit road.

That whole race was really good tbqh. A lot of passing up front, different drivers leading the pack. Good stuff.

Just for posterity/documentation The commercials were getting irritating at the start, so I was tracking them (not to the detail of green/yellow time), but in the first 2 hours from the drop of the green, 56 minutes of the first 2 hours were commercial time (side by side or full screen). In the last 90 minutes, there were only 21 minutes of commercials. So, feel free to take a nap through the first 2/3rds of the race, you won't really see much anyway with NBC.

I'm sure NBC (and Fox) is contracted to air X amount of commercials a race. Naturally, they try to frontload them as much as possible so when things are getting to the good part (the part between the last pitstop and the finish), there's not as much interruption.

It really feels like NASCAR has some great young talent., man I just wish Brian France would stop jamming gimmicks into the sport and just letting these guys race. Guys like Wallace, Larson, Suarez, Blaney and Stenhouse seem like they'd be a good foundation for things to come.
