For context, John got himself lung cancer by smoking thirteen cigarettes a day since he was seventeen years old, and he's trying to figure out how to deal with it. At first I thought it'd be an ill-advised riff on All Star Superman but it's one of the best Deadpool issues, probably the best one outside of the wedding issue and the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly arc

Is that the one where Deadpool realizes he's, like, the worst possible choice to help someone in that situation and drops her off at a crisis center? Because that was real good.

Dennis gets splashed with mutagenic waste, and develops a) superpowers, and b) incurable cancer. The Avengers make him an honorary member.

Way the country's been going, I needed a little dose of idealism to remember that we're not always so horrible. Sandman #54 had an excellent retelling of the original Prez story and it's always been a favorite. The ending always gets me.Kammat posted:It really is one of the best side stories during Sandman's run. Here's the last four pages of the tale.
