Hellblazer's Matt, from the Dangerous Habits arc by Garth Ennis. For context, John got himself lung cancer by smoking thirteen cigarettes a day since he was seventeen years old, and he's trying to figure out how to deal with it. He decides to pay a visit to a local cancer ward. Full album here, takes place over several issues.

At first I thought it'd be an ill-advised riff on All Star Superman but it's one of the best Deadpool issues, probably the best one outside of the wedding issue and the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly arc

Is that the one where Deadpool realizes he's, like, the worst possible choice to help someone in that situation and drops her off at a crisis center?

Because that was real good.

Dead Presidents is still my favorite story arc, but drat the this one shot issue is so good.

Plus it had the best line:

You could pretty much post the entire issue. I love that the core idea of it is America as an ideal worth chasing, rather than reality worth suffering. It is really one of my favourite Sandman stories.
