I would agree that bowties on white folks have to be on 70+ year old men, (super-duper formal, like more formal than your own wedding type of formal) or else you're a child-molester or some rear end in a top hat trying to put on an image of Quirk I mean, on the show they even point out that the Look is From somewhere:  (for whatever reason Denzel as Malcolm X is more associated with the bow-tie to me personally than the actual Malcolm X who I think of as wearing a thin black tie) Anyhow it's a dangerous Look to adopt if you don't have the moral fortitude to die for your political convictions.
