Yeah early NB MX-5s, especially red ones, had a real problem with bonnets losing the topcoat in the Australian sun.

That actually looks OK in those pictures, but in the one I posted it looks like it's high on chromosomes.

It's not the bumper specifically, it's the poor framing and composition in general that's triggering me.

But I give a pass to the quick snap with the phone of such a monstrosity caught in the wild.

But tire change guy should probably be executed.

What I don't understand is why the black car moved successfully over to the right lane and then swerved back and hit the parked car in the center.

Looked like he was braking hard when he moved to the right, then let off the brakes (looking at the brake lights), then the rear end end came around to party.

He lifted and switched to braking, lost the back end.

I would guess he caught a glimpse of the white car and realized he need to lose speed to avoid hitting it.

Not sure how you can see the brake lights in that low rez mess but if that's what happened you're probably right. :v:

I watched that gif last night and saw nearly the same accident happen today on I-74 in North Carolina. A pair of cars stopped completely in the left lane, no hazards, no brake lights illuminated. I only saw them when the car about 400' in front of me suddenly swerved to change lanes, fortunately they competed the maneuver.

I braked to slow and warn anyone behind as I passed them on the right, then watched in the rear view, eventually as they were almost out of sight they appeared to start moving along again. I've no idea, no one was out of their vehicle and they didn't appear to have wrecked.

...but they were about to!

You've got to know the rules before you can break 'em. Otherwise, it's no fun.

Weight transfer while braking hard and turning at the same time is a bitch.

I call bullshit on that because the rear lights are from a Renault Megane circa 1999 which means someone from after a time when perfection was achieved with this car thought they could do better.
