This isn't quite related to a trade, but Hut Stricklin was fired and replaced by Jimmy Spencer in four consecutive rides. e) for Osterlund (the Osterlund comeback Heinz 57), Bobby Allison, Junior Johnson, and Travis Carter. Feels Villeneuve fucked around with this message at 16:10 on Jul 4, 2017 |

I'm going with Byron to the 88. Play on the "young guns" in the sport. I don't like the number 9...the car and driver are fine...somwthing about the number makes me uncomfortable.

I've heard that nationwide is pretty attached to 88 as a number at this point. I really hope they don't go with Byron. Let him run xfinity for another year at least.

The tone shifted as the weekend went on from "DALE JR'S LAST RIDE AT DAYTONA" to "DALE JR'S LAST RIDE AT DAYTONA as a full-time driver". I thought I heard some suggestion he may run another 500 someday. Point is it wouldn't surprise me at all for NASCAR to magically rescind the "fifth car for a rookie only rule". Put a full-time driver in the 25 or whatever and let Byron run a handful of races with Junior in the 88 to sell sponsorship is my idea.

Ryan Preece is running a couple Xfinity races for Gibbs: https://www.motorsport.com/nascar-xs/news/ryan-preece-gets-two-nascar-xfinity-races-with-joe-gibbs-racing-926852/ I'm interested to see how he does. He can wheel the hell out of a modified, and he had some decent runs with JD Motorsports considering the equipment.

big nipples big life posted:the chase is basically a debris caution for the entire season Indeed. The Chase is exactly when it became painfully obvious that they were *ahem* chasing casuals. Most people who weren't into racing would probably complain "WHY DOESN'T THE PERSON WHO WIN THE MOST WIN IT ALL " like other sports. It's by far the dumbest thing, and I will never stop making GBS threads on it. It also unleashed JimmieBot on the world
